  1. I believe you're thinking of Sysprep since you mentioned you don't actually want any installation files, but just an image with everything already installed: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb457073.aspx Sysprep will prepare the image (which you can create using imaging software like Norton Ghost) for deployment on another computer.
  2. Most members seem to be using MediaFire and DepositFiles and making a release announcement in the Application Add-Ons forum. Speaking of which... [ Moved. ]
  3. Heh... I forgot about that. I don't think anyone's tried it yet, but I don't see why it wouldn't work. I'd say try g-force's method first and if that doesn't work, use the Windows XP virtualization layer (or whatever it's called) in Windows 7.
  4. There's your problem. You need to run nLite on a Windows XP or a Windows Server 2003 machine. There's are issues (like the one you're having) when running it under Windows Vista and Windows 7. Your best bet without a Windows XP machine would be to temporarily install Windows XP in a virtual machine and run nLite from there (you can use your OEM copy - it won't activate, but that's fine).
  5. It's not fixed yet. We'll make an announcement when everything's fine and dandy.
  6. I have deleted your duplicate post; no need to post more than once.
  7. You can start off here: http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=128772
  8. I haven't done this in a while, but my guess is that you'd have to disable Windows File Protection (i.e., there's an option in nLite to modify the SFC_OS.DLL file and apply the registry key to accomplish this). More info here.
  9. kobe, if I remember correctly, nLite integrates hotfixes and update packs before removing components, so you can definitely do everything in a single session without worrying about components not being removed; there is no need to do it in two separate ones. Can you give it a try and tell us your results?
  10. kobe, please attach (not paste) your Last Session.ini file and please make sure to always start with a fresh copy of your CD files/folders, to do all of your work in one nLite session (using the latest version), and to integrate only one service pack.
  11. I really don't see the point in this... Especially since we already have the Google form at the top of each page.
  12. +1, and I'd just like to take a moment to remind everyone of rule 1.a:
  13. you know something and are not telling gamehead??? No, I don't know anything. I'm just hoping (like the rest of you) that nuhi makes a comeback one day, whether it be for nLite, vLite, or a similar utility for Windows 7.
  14. It's not false advertisement. vLite is completely capable of slipstreaming SP1, just not SP2 at the moment because there hasn't been an update since September 2008. Search or browse the forums for more info.
  15. This has been brought up too many times to count. Search or browse the vLite forum for your answer. [ Closed. ]
  16. Yes, we know there's still an issue. No need for everyone to keep telling us. There isn't much we can do until xper comes online.
  17. It happens with fast reply, reply and new topic. Haven't seen it with full or quick edit yet. When completing an edit with "Quick Edit," the form just freezes up and doesn't complete the edit at all. I have to copy everything and use the "Full Edit" to, well, edit my posts.
  18. I'm still getting the authorization mismatch error when using the "Fast Reply" box every so often.
  19. You haven't included any information for us to help you diagnose your problem except for an error message that can be caused by just about anything. Under what operating system did you slipstream SP3 and the other updates? How did you slipstream them? Did you use nLite at all? If so, please attach (not paste) your Last Session.ini file and please make sure to always start with a fresh copy of your CD files/folders, to do all of your work in one nLite session (using the latest version), and to integrate only one service pack.
  20. Huh? Were you trying to post in this thread?
  21. How to use it: http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?s=&amp...mp;CODE=explain [ Moved. ]
  22. I've gotten the mismatch errors only when using "Fast Reply" and have had to log in three times today. "Quick Edit" also seems to be a bit choppy. Ha! Got the mismatch error when posting this!
  23. Yes, search the forum since this has been brought up at least a few dozen times already.
