Dell Latitude C640 - No Modems Installed In 80 Laptops?
gamehead200 replied to Redhatcc's topic in Hardware Hangout
Are you absolutely sure they have modems? Some laptop manufacturers will ship their laptops with the phone jack, but no modem. Check the BIOS to make sure there is actually a physical modem installed inside the laptop (or take it apart and check ). -
ok i read rule 12 so wtf does it have to do whit this. my topic title was very clear i was asking for nlite help then i asked the question but if you want to be a dick and tell me to cram a $h!t load of info into the topic title as your only resopnce go ahead, i figure it out on my own thanks for the help cya Strike 1 - Calm down.Your topic title is meaningless to people going through the list of new topics. When creating a new topic, ask yourself, "What help do I need?" To me, it looks like you need help integrating drivers for your RAID controller. Thus, you should set your topic title to: "Help integrating RAID controllers drivers w/ nLite." It's a lot more informative and it'll attract more members to your post.

SuperDuper! works great for me! You'll have to place the new drive in an enclosure first, hook it up, run SuperDuper!, choose the drive to clone, choose the drive to clone to (the new one), and let it run. It's as simple as that.

Resolved: Signature text rule is ambiguous
gamehead200 replied to BenoitRen's topic in Site & Forum Issues
Ah, yes. I see what you mean now. In fact, I really don't think "signature images" should be in that clause as there is already a limit on the size of signature images and there's only so much text you can fit in an image 300x100 pixels. How's this for a rewrite? -
If you decide to use this on MSFN, please note:

Resolved: Signature text rule is ambiguous
gamehead200 replied to BenoitRen's topic in Site & Forum Issues
4 what? I assume you mean 4pt. In that case, the actual font size depends on the user's DPI settings. A size specified in pixels would be easier to check. Does this screenshot clarify it at all? I'm not even sure what size it is in pixels, that's why we went with "a font size of 4 in both standard and rich text editors." Please feel free to write up an alternative if you still feel the current rule is ambiguous. -
Booking international flights online
gamehead200 replied to spacesurfer's topic in General Discussion
My parents and I have booked through Air Canada on points to fly to Europe. We received the confirmation as an e-mail, took it to the airport, used one of the automatic boarding pass machines, went through security, and boarded the plane. No problems, though we did have to do everything manually through one of the check-in counters on the way back. -
Wow talk about old thread....Man back in the day plopping an old thread up was grounds for termination! Yeah, with grumpy old Tris and Aaron around. BANHAMMER!

andreascocos, you have been kindly asked (multiple times now) to change your topic title. Please note that it is currently violating rule 12 of the forum rules: Consider yourself warned. I am curious who warned you and how? My approach here is to cause a change or abandoned the thread. My spell checker went off on the quote, but I left it as is. Enjoy, John. You can use that button for anything that goes against the forum rules. The topic title so happens to do so.

No. If you already have an unused partition or an unused HDD, you can go right ahead and install Windows XP by following this guide. Otherwise, you will first have to resize your Windows 7 partition to make room for Windows XP on a separate partition and then follow the same guide. You can find out how to do this here: http://www.nirmaltv.com/2009/05/12/how-to-...n-in-windows-7/

Yes, that's what happens to me before having my daily dose of Tim Hortons coffee. The Earth's round, so whichever direction you go in, you'll end up back in the same place... eventually.

Huh? AFAIK, legit keys that worked in SP2 should work in SP3. Are you sure you didn't mean to say "XP Pro and XP Home keys are different"?cgimana, please attach (not paste) your Last_Session.ini file and please make sure to always start with a fresh copy of your CD files/folders, to do all of your work in one nLite session (using the latest version), and to integrate only one service pack. Please report when you have a solution, so others can benefit. [ Moved. ]

Computer showing awkward network behaviour.
gamehead200 replied to jeffro's topic in Malware Prevention and Security
First off, welcome! Second... Have you tried shutting off uTorrent, reconnecting to the Internet, and running a speed test? My guess is that your connection is being saturated by leechers trying to grab the whatever file you're downloading. Upon closing uTorrent and re-establishing a connection to the Internet (and assuming you have a dynamic IP), those connections should disappear. -
I can tell you with 100% certainty that this specific spammer is not from China. Think further east (I'd rather not say where).

First off, you're evil. Second, my high school used to use Websense and it worked pretty well for what they wanted to do (and they were able to create a profile for me with special unfiltered privileges).
