  1. I'm going to assume the user is using Windows XP since you haven't mentioned what OS he/she is using. It sounds like you're needing to "Group similar taskbar buttons." To do this, right-click on the "Start" button, go to "Properties," go to the "Taskbar" tab, and make sure "Group similar taskbar buttons" is checked, then hit "OK."
  2. We already have that in place. And let me remind you again that the Win 9x forum isn't being spammed by a bot, it's a real, live human.
  3. you are a star, man... just saved 1.29GBs to download to a ton of people Thanks again. The link has been removed as it shouldn't have been there in the first place. Consider yourself lucky.[ Closed as per rule 1b. ]
  4. Link is OFF, fix plsssssssssssssssssssss Forgot to update it... Here is the new link (scroll down).
  5. Because people don't bother searching for how to do stuff before posting anymore.
  6. There's a link to the thread in the original forum - no need.
  7. Well that is good only if someone wants to call the "police" isn't it ?. I don't think it applies when it comes to managing stickies for example, especially that most (all?) currently active moderators have barely an interest in 9x related matters and have IMO way less clues as to what would be good/not good when it comes to that than the serious 9x subforums regulars. Naw, we get requests to delete double posts and other stuff too. Don't be afraid to use it - we won't come after you.
  8. It's quite illegal.Anyways, the OP's question violates rule 1a. As such... [ Closed. ]
  9. Stop asking - you're not going to get it: [ Closed. ]
  10. That's probably what I'll be learning in my next semester. Sigh...
  11. Looks like we'll be able to travel back in time soon...
  12. That term makes me shudder every time someone refers to it. Too bad I'll have to use it for the next three years of university...
  13. Legally, you can't. Build 7100 (RC1) is the latest official non-leaked build AFAIK.
  14. Do not crosspost. [ Closed. ]
  15. Easy access to all computers: Make sure you go with LogMeIn Free - it will suffice. That's what I use and I haven't had any problems yet.
  16. +1 for LogMeIn. Very easy to setup and use. Uses UDP, so no need to open any ports.
  17. Beat me to it.If you don't want XP asking you for a username/password, make sure the username/password on your computer matches the one on the computer you're trying to access.
  18. Short answer: No. Long answer: No - search the forums for more info. This has been asked over and over again. [ Closed. ]
  19. No problems here. Try clearing your cache an clearing your cookies and see if it happens again. I've been logged in on three different computers and haven't had any problems as of yet.
  20. Hi Paolo, I know you said you tried editing sysoc.inf... Did you try adding this line to it and copying the zoneoc.dll file to the system32 folder: ZoneGames=zoneoc.dll,ZoneSetupProc,igames.inf,,7You will also have to copy the igames.inf file from an XP CD.
  21. You should not need to know anything about Macs to answer an nLite-related question - just treat her MBP as a regular PC. All Boot Camp does is create a partition for Windows XP and allow it to be installed through the EFI interface (similar to a BIOS) - nothing else. Everything else is essentially the same as a regular PC. Here is your answer (scroll down to The Role of the F5 Key and Shutdown Problems) - it is in Windows Setup. I think between the link I posted and her Last Session.ini, there is plenty of information to answer melissah's question. My bet is that a specific HAL for her MBP is missing from her disc (most likely ACPI Multiprocessor PC).Edit: Seems my assumption was correct, in that "Multi-Processor Support" was removed from her disc.
  22. The only reason they aren't being hacked/exploited more than PCs is because there just aren't as many Mac users out there. Think about it. There's no point in creating a virus or worm that's only going to affect <20% of computers out there. Spot on. Thats exactly what I tell people that say Macs never get viruses. Well, in a way, they *are* right... There really aren't that many Mac viruses out there - only a handful. And the ones that do exist require that you enter your username/password to be installed.
