Mara-, what you posted looks like from Vistamizer 1.2.1 by Manuel Hoefs, if I remember well. The newer version 2.2.1 has a black screen, not this one. Correct me if I am wrong.

Analada, what you said sounds like an impossible mission to me. I managed to follow exactly what you suggested. But I don't know what is the "suitable command" I should have in autoexec.bat. If I put "savedreg" (without quotation-marks) in it, I'll have "Bad command or file name" on booting Windows. It won't run a .reg file, will it? I have a poor knowledge about such thing. I didn't think it was so complicated as this. PS. why do I have to import the registry key from DOS instead of doing it right from Windows? Working with DOS is a hair-raising experience!

I want to know if there is a way to lock a single registry key. For example, this key (I got it from RP7): [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\WindowMetrics] "CaptionWidth"="-500" "CaptionHeight"="-315" It has effects on the current theme after I run the reg file and log off. But when I apply another theme, the key will automatically change to the following: [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\WindowMetrics] "CaptionWidth"="-345" "CaptionHeight"="-345" It doesn't matter or take long time to run the reg file again and log off the computer again. But it will be great if I don't have to do that every time I change the skin. Can someone know a way to lock it forever, if possible? Thanks for any help and reply. One of the problems I have is that Firefox 3 will exit every time I right click on the background of a page. It happens even when I right click just on a blank page. Does anyone have the same problem? And when I open FF3, I find it difficult to move the mouse round and round. After a few minutes it becomes normal again. I still have Firefox 2.0.0.14 on my computer. Is it the cause of the problem? Edit: changing some words to make it clear. Edit again: I tried installing FF3 on another drive other than the one having FF2 (Thanks Analada for the hint). The mouse works fine but the right click problem still exists. This is the error message: I think I won't use FF3 on Win 98. Anyway, it's not my favourite browser.

It can't help at all.I uninstalled this pack a few days ago so I can't remember exactly all the warning words on the uninstallation. Do I need to install your pack again, then uninstall it again to make sure I did it correctly, Damian666? Or can you tell me what these files are (boot screen, turn off screen, and system properties) so that I can restore them manually? PS. I see that your pack looks good and works fine for many people. I myself have no complaints about it either. However, I don't like it much, and decide not to have it any more. It will be nice if I can completely remove it (with your help, of course). Never mind, Zoinkity. Anyway I've already had Luna Homestead, a green theme which I made much greener than the original one.

Since I've installed some updates before this pack, there were some newer files recommended to be kept; they are dispex.dll, jscript.dll, scrobj.dll, scrrun.dll, vbscript.dll, wshext.dll, and wshom.ocx. Hopefully I typed them correctly! I don't know why this pack is not on the list of Add/Remove. And I also have to reinstall KernelEx033b so that the Calculator works proper again. That's all. No more serious problems to tell now.

Blue and black themes are quite OK to me. I just don't like when there are too many of them while the themes with other colors are so few. It's very funny that I always try to change some of Xstyle's themes to something red although I don't like red that much! Too bad, I'm not pleased with the modified ones at all, especially with the framecaption images. They look ugly and not as smooth as the original ones. What green theme are you talking about? What is its name? I have to ask to avoid misunderstanding again.

Will it works on RP7, Xstyle? After installing SP 3.0 beta 2, I lost many icons from the Renovatio but I'm too tired to replace them back again. I think I'll wait for your patches to fix this small problem.

I have Win98 SE, IE 6.0 SP1, and a mixture of RP7 and Renovatio. I hope it will be OK too. Ah, do I need to uninstall the previous pack, 98 SE SP 3.0 beta 1 before installing the new one?Thanks for upgrading your pack, Gape.

TheRedFox, this theme works just fine for me, no problem at all. Make sure you copy the Sky98 folder (not Sky98theme) to the right place. It looks like this: C:\WINDOWS\Resources\Sky98 I hope it works for you. As for me, I'll wait for the upgraded theme by Offler.

Zoinkity, I've just got your themes on my computer. I gave them 3/5 at first because they are BLACK and BLUE! But I decided to give them one more point when I hovered the mouse on the Start button and pressed it. It's funny to see Tux wave its wings and open its eyes large! And the black theme is a little strange with the Century Gothic (Western) font. Well, I think 4/5 is OK, right?

I'm not sure why it doesn't work well for you, Fhub. I'm using Winpatrol 14.0.2007 without any problems. Actually, when I first installed it, my computer was restarted twice without a warning message. How annoying! But after that it has run fine till now.
