MAL1K, I don't use a password on my PC so I don't have such screens when I turn it on, or restart, or log on/off. If the problem had happened after you entered the IP, then doing something related to that part. Have you tried choosing "Obtain an IP address automatically" in (TCP/IP) Properties? I just guess, not very sure. It'll be nice if some expert reads your post and gives some advice. Maybe your problem is quite strange. People can't help if they haven't had the same problem before and solved it before. I mean they don't experience it, they don't know how to help you! Sorry, not sure how to express my thoughts better!

Hi everyone, I've seen the icon of Windows 7 Local Area Connection on the system tray recently. I like it a lot and want to have it on my XP. Someone told me that I could get it by installing some Windows 7 modification pack. But I won't install a whole pack just to have one icon on my computer. Can anyone tell me what this file is so that I will get it only and put it into the System32 folder? I believe it is there but I'm not sure what its file name is. There are over 2000 objects in that folder and I feel confused! Thanks in advance for any reply! PS. The Taskbar is on the top and Zoinkity cut the picture so you (and I) can't see the system tray. He also made other nice themes. You should try them all too.Zoinkity, I don't have a chance to try the themes you made any more but it's nice to know that you still make them for RP9.

Then I am luckier than you! My computer is 4 years old, and I can close the popup without any problem. This desktop is a gift so I don't want to leave it at all. Duffy98, Thanks for the suggestion and the link. When I used AVG, I also used another antivirus program which used around 130 MB of memory at the same time. I stop them both to use Avira, which only uses around 10 MB of RAM. Now I am glad when the memory usage is always around 300 MB out of 1 GB. I'll try the virus cleaner you mentioned, but I think it'll find nothing!

Tarun,I let IE8 and Maxthon block all the popups so when Avira updates, it is the only popup of the day. I don't find it very annoying, once a day is acceptable. I've heard that Avast is also good, but I haven't tried it yet. Ner will have the last decision, and I guess he'll choose Avira!

Ner, I'm using Avira AntiVir Personal and find it very good. It takes very little RAM to run. And it's easy to use. I used to use AVG too but decided to try Avira 4 months ago. And I am quite pleased with it now. You can try it here: http://www.free-av.com/

Wick21, I'm not sure if I understand you well. I guess the problem Jay mentioned is about the corrupted luna.msstyles. As for me, if I can't find the luna.msstyles on my computer, I'll borrow it from my sister's computer.

I am so sorry for making a big mistake on this topic. Around two hours ago, I edited the first post and I didn't know all the votes were lost! How silly I am! It's lucky that there is a contact button on the forum which I didn't notice at first! I contacted the staff there and they helped me with the problem. I've just sent my mail to her without having to join the forum. I'll keep my eyes open wide every time I come to a site!

I would like to know of how many forums you are a member. If you can, please say a little about the forums when you vote. For example, are you an active member on all forum or just one of them? Is MSFN the first one you belong to? Any special reasons to sign up at a forum? Or anything interesting you can think of and want to share here. I am a member here and another forum. I joined that forum a year after knowing MSFN, and I write posts there using my own language! I don't think I am an active member on both forums. I only write posts when I need help and want to know something! I know it's not nice at all. But it seems that I am not very good at helping people. And usually, people have already got help when I read their posts. There are more and more experts these days and I have no chances! OK, enough for my post! You don't use a mouse with your laptop, Spacesurfer? I only open 4 or 5 tabs when using Firefox. And usually, I undo a closed tab which I close by accident. I don't close several tabs and then reopen them! Why not leaving the tabs open if you still need to work on them?

IcemanND, I also think of this but it doesn't sound nice at all! I would rather not register into the forum than be a zero-post member. If I registered there to know the mail and then left, I would have to ask the admin to remove my account. But I wonder if he/she will do it for me. I once asked the same thing to another forum but they refused my request! How strange! Is removing an account too difficult for an admin to do? Or does it make so many serious effects on the forum to have fewer a member? I hope there is at least one of them being the member of that forum, so I can have the best help! I don't use Firefox very often, just on two or three sites only. I always have these add-ons and can't stand it if I don't have them. Accessibar (To change the background and text color) Adblock Plus ColorfulTabs (This looks nice!) Fasterfox Lite Flagfox (To know where the sites are) Flashblock FlashGot I used to use Toolbar Buttons too but decided to remove it recently. Hessam, I feel dizzy when looking at your list of the corrupted files! You should follow what CharlotteTheHarlot and Submix8c told you. Download the installer of SP3 again using a downloader, which will help you get the file faster and resume a disconnected downloading. I've found another one for you to choose: Star Downloader Free 1.45 (around 2.34 MB) http://www.stardownloader.com/sdfree.exe Or even you may use the 30-day trial version of Internet Download Manager (around 2.32 MB). It's a very good downloader. You can remove it after you finish getting SP3. Good luck, Hessam.

Fanem008, You can try Vistamizer 3.1.0.0 (around 18 MB) to install these two files only. You don't need to get the Expansion Pack. Vistamizer is not a silent install, so that you can choose any files you need. For example, stick on these choice: Files/ System/ EXE/ explorer Files/ System/ DLL/ shell32 You can always uninstall them if you don't like them after the trying.

Geepnozeex, thanks for the reply. Can you tell me how to delete the texts? I have ResHack but not sure what exactly to do with the Explorer.exe. I've never done this before. I found StartMenuLSTRemover and it can remove the texts. I tried it with some themes and find that big rectangle buttons without text look fine. But small square buttons without text don't look nice at all, the standard XP themes for example. Then, I like to have the text on some themes and no text on some other themes! This means, if I use StartMenuLSTRemover, I have to install it and uninstall it a lot of times! Is the way you've done with Explorer.exe simplier for me to use?
