yeah vlite is a good alternative and easier to use than tool with WAIK

Go on the root of the folder and right clic properties > Customize and in the drop down list select 'All items'. you can also check the box 'Also apply this template to all subfolders

vlite don't tweak the theme files. but there are a lot of batch file available for this
