  1. let me guess, you selected the "remove boot from cd prompt" after the files have copied (blue screen) and the pc has rebooted once, eject the cd, when it asks for it again, put it back in, then eject it after its finished all the windows install.. in future don't select the select boot from cd prompt option... or after its started installation once, change your boot order so it doesn't look for the cd int he fisrt place/
  2. someone once mentioned a program on here that does that, keep checking back and someone will reccomend it if its just a reg tweak, i'd be quite interested!

this works and has saved me in the past, takes about 1 minute! download testdisk ( http://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/TestDisk_Download ) run it and it'll scan your drives for recently deleted partitions and it'll just re-write them in i deleted my 300gb external backup hard drive partition once by accident when installing windows, this bought it back, have had no problems at all with it and its freeware

So instead of using CabPack, I can use WinRAR to pack my addons? www.7-zip.org !
  9. bledd replied to nuhi's topic in nLite
the 7zip addons support is sweet -edit is there a reason why you don't use the 7za.exe file instead?(standalone version) wouldn't need the codecs and formats folders then.. although i'm not sure if the command line version supports rar extraction (this could just be left out?) http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/sevenzi...42.zip?download or should this be directed at ryan + sigi? -edit2 integrated ryan 2.1.0 pack with no problems

on my main pc i don't use any AV, just a hardware firewall becuase ALL antivirus slows your pc's down on the rest of my pc's i use nod32 antivirus i'd recomend you get rid of NAV becuase its crap and really slows your pc down get nod32 or kaspersky
  11. i have it, why do you need it? 2.0.7a is better.. if you don't want WGA then you can take that out of it, look on ryans forums
  12. the guy who makes "unofficial service pack 5" for 2000 has got unattended packs for those files, i'm sure if he was able to slipstream them, he would have..
  13. he means when you hold loads of keys on the keyboard and it beeps at you, or when a service fails to load at startup you'll often get a beep (2003 only maybe) removing this doesn't remove the windows sound scheme.. i've removed this since it was first introduced in nlite, to test it, just disable it in your current windows setup and see if you 'miss' it
  14. ****, thats the shortcut i use for winamp, no wonder i'm having problems
  15. i say remove all the ram and try each stick seperatly.. ultimatebootcd.com use the ram tester on it!
