I finally managed to sort out my RAID situation when installing my via drivers for XP setup. Now I got another problem! After the drive is fully formated and files are copied, the computer restarts and the installation is shown. However, after a few seconds I get a message similar to below saying:

Data Error (Cyclic Redundancy Check)

SXS.DLL syntax error in manifest of policy.

File d:\i386\asms\msft windows\gdiplus.gdiplus.man

error: d:\i386\asms

What is wrong?

Quite simple. the media your trying to use is damaged.

doesn't "D" represent the letter of your cd-rom?

CRC code is a part of a file that is used to verify the validity of a file.

How it's created is a bit complicated so I won't go into that here.

When a file has been sent over any distance or copied from one media to another, the CRC check is used to tell if the file made the trip without corruption or error. If just one 'bit' is changed a CRC error will be generated.

Any time you get a CRC error, it means that the file somehow got corrupted in its travels.

The solution is to 'do it again'.

If reading from a CD, make sure the CD is clean and NOT scratched.

i will reburn the cd and try again...

the XP CD that i made has slipstreamed via raid drivers that i have added. I am using an image of WIN XP that is on another computer, is it possible to check the validity of the XP image file to elimate me burning a corrputed image.

Sorted the problem guys! Thanks for your help!

I copied a new CD to use and used my normal DVD-ROM drive instead of the DVD-RW. Worked Fine!
