  1. winsxs folder, to keep app compatibility system restore? (disable it and run disk cleanup to remove points, then run this command in an admin'd cmd window vssadmin resize shadowstorage /for=c: /on=c: /maxsize=300mb ) hibernation file?
  2. not a vlite issue. try resetting the CMOS, and to be safer, don't flash from within windows.. it can work fine sometimes, but with all sorts of apps running (av / system protection apps) you can run into problems. always best to flash from the bios (some have the option), or from a bootable cd/usb/floppy

when using a new version, you can usually load old presets (probably always?) without any problem.. but when using a new version, always use a fresh xp source (sp3)

in repsonse to LeveL it would be nice if ms reverted to the windows 98 style setup, so we wouldn't need to rely on a 3rd party in the first place but nlite is an awesome tool and it's been fun following it since the early releases donate, people

  6. the newer 7zip fixes the problems that the older one had with certain split rar files. it still is beta mind
  7. it's pre-beta, what do you expect? pre-beta is just an insight of what is to come, ms don't release them publicly to the masses for a reason this will shape out very nicely, just wait for the rtm
  8. awesome tool you've made there please continue to update this thread thanks for your efforts. does it support all SP's for all the os's?
  9. remove all other hard drives when installing, and install on the primary partition.
  10. i'm sure he won't be offended, but this does get asked a lot (we've all asked it in the past, i'm sure) sending a donation won't hurt
  11. send nuhi a donation and ask when sending it
  12. thanks for the info, i'm after a free one though as i need to bundle it with a .bat file to make the changes all i need to edit is a few .ico files in a single dll file, suppose i could just release a new dll with each 7zip release instead.. will look into this program for the x64 editing, thanks

  14. I know Xpero was given one to test.. did it ever see light? Could do with it for my 7zip icons patcher..
  15. region won't be a problem, maybe the dll used for burning doesn't know your writer or something..? just use imgburn instead, i use it all the time through force of habit from when nlite could only make iso's it's about 2mb, and easy to use
  16. this has nothing to do with vlite
  17. that's weird create an iso instead, then use imgburn to burn the image file to dvd does it show ok in device manager?
  18. never heard of spyware doctor.. use nod32 / avast
  19. bledd replied to jace5869's topic in nLite
disable av before doing it check firewall hasn't blocked local access use a clean source try without any drivers try without any addons
  20. create 7zip switchless installers all the information you need is on the msfn unattended site and this forum. nlite was not made for installing programs
  21. copy disc to C:\XPCD slipstream SP3 with nlite then run this. http://www.msfn.org/board/RAID-Slipstreame...x64-t85842.html then finish disc with nlite
  22. it's pointless to use vista if your pc can't handle superfetch..
  23. this is a ridiculous thing to remove, this and dx10 are the best things in vista
