ok mate your work is greatly appreciated
  2. throw it out, get a new laptop won't be worth the hassle if it's damaged
  3. what brand is the card?
  4. don't feed the troll guys, he'll just grow in size
  5. they're just false positives because it uses a bat file that's been converted into an exe you can decompile the exe to see for yourself this doesn't work at the moment, once that resourcer is done, i'll update this project.
  6. No, Vista requires a few restarts to install.. what's the problem with your notebook? welcome

    Resourcer 0.8 Beta

yup, i can replace fine in 0.8b using the GUI, would be cool to automate it using commandline.. basically with each 7zip release i'd have to replace ~20 icons total (32 and 64bit), but they're always in the same iconDir, so simply running a bat file would be far quicker for me

    Resourcer 0.8 Beta

reshacker.exe -addoverwrite 7z.dll, 7z.dll, sevenz.ico, icongroup,101,1033 PROGRAM OPERATION SOURCEFILE, DESTINATIONFILE, RESOURCE.ICO, ICONGROUP/ICONDIR that's what i used in the past... something logical basically the ability to directly replace an icon from the 'icon directory' ie.. feel free to pm me test versions etc i don't know much about programming, but the ability to drag a .ico file directly into that resource to replace it would be a cool addition too if that's possible in the future

    One Month Away?

once the resourcer is done, we'll see a lot more action i'm sure many of us are on x64 now, so we need this out first
  15. Disk4mat, with nlite and vlite if you use them, then you can forget installing future SP3's when a new SP gets realeased, get a new media with that on.. ie Vista with SP2 dvd, then start over. bapt, nuhi seems to be on a break after the years of slogging away for us on these tools
  16. can't polish a turd..
  17. how to use vlite. copy your clean disk to C:\vistadvd point vlite at that
  18. awesome can't wait for the commandline & replace options will get my 7zip icons and many other projects rolling again great work guys
  19. you can do this in XP and Vista 7 is a huge improvement over Vista (and I really like Vista)
  20. spilled milk
  21. if for any reason that doesn't work, sometime you can do this.. start, run %temp% press enter.. now run the exe, and check the new folders created, it might have extracted them to a folder in the temp dir, where you can copy from there, then cancel the wizard
  22. without trying to look big headed, both myself and MagicAndre have posted in nlite/vlite a lot, and have used both many times we've both arrived to the same conclusion, that it's best to keep components that you need a part of, instead of scrambling for a solution when things don't work. we're simply passing on what we've learned the 'hard way' and i'd never target someone because of a language barrier , one of the thing i love about msfn is the great mix of languages / localities no need to fly off the handle and jump at our throats
  23. keep up the great work guys i'm really looking forward to the 64bit resource patcher
