  1. The only thing I can think of is that you are using the same basic batch to not only install updates, but also install something else, and that is what you don't want people to see. If that is true, then that secrecy implies something nefarious, and if I was one of your users I would be that much more curious and would trust you less in general. I also noted that you did not answer my previous questions. I can understand that you "want to learn, to learn, to learn", but what exactly are you wanting to learn and for what purpose? Cheers and Regards
  2. And yes, you usually need all three. Similar to all the various instances of .NET, Thank you very much MS (dripping with sarcasm). Cheers and Regards
  3. And you will probably have better success if you add Driver Packs LAST, after nLite. Cheers and Regards
  4. Because everyone can access to that folder and get the batch. I wish to hide the batch file. The world is big, not all people are skillful as you or other members of this community. Anyway, for a UNskillful person, the %TEMP% folder is easy to get. I guess the thing we are not understanding is why is it important to hide this batch that is being used to install updates? So what if an UNskillful person can get to the %TEMP% folder? What are you afraid that they will do with this non secret information? What is the big deal? For that matter, why hide it at all? Cheers and Regards

    nlite

It hasn't been in years, and is not likely to be updated again. Cheers and Regards
  6. Was there supposed to be a link there? Cheers and Regards
  7. jaclaz, I guess we need to figure out a way to do spell-check in l337. In your post above, I think -- /\/\(U|-| -- should have been -- /\/\U(|-| -- and then there is the grammar police, and proper punctuation, and ... Of course we could also just convert from English --> Pig Latin --> l337 --> Random Capitalization --> strip all punctuation and all line breaks --> add MANY random smilies --> post. Simple, right? Cheers and Regards
  8. Sorry, but I've never had to deal with hiding the batch in that way. Hopefully another member can offer some advice. Might it help if we knew the name of the authoring program or why you wanted to hide the batch's content? Cheers and Regards
  9. So why "must" your batch run on a single line? Maybe we can offer an alternative solution if we better understood the circumstances. ie instead of fixing the batch to work in a single line, we could come up with a solution so that you could run the batch in its original proven form. Cheers and Regards
  10. If you use the analogy that in the original version the mushroom acts like a slot-machine-handle-crank, then you could say that in this version the mushroom acts like a push-button or plunger, a more subtle approach which I like better. Cheers and Regards
  11. Can you list your batch for us? Cheers and Regards
  12. Currently, there is no one single file available, that I know of, that will update your system fully, hence tomasz86's long term goal of coming up with a new Win2k SP. Sorry if I jumped in and misunderstood something. Cheers and Regards
  13. Or you could upload them to Mediafire or something. Cheers and Regards
  14. Just because there is enough room doesn't mean the mounting holes will line up, but since the 180mm fans are usually square I guess it's possible. Unlike jaclaz, I was not able to come up with an appropriate drawing, with dimensions, for a 180mm fan so you'll have to measure. I even saw mention of adapter plates to adapt one size opening to another size fan, but was also not able to come up with a relevant drawing with dimensions. Sorry. Cheers and Regards
  15. What makes you think that? Cheers and Regards
  16. I'm just not having very good luck. Thanks anyway. Cheers and Regards
  17. I even tried looking at the page source - still no sign of a DL link. Cheers and Regards
  18. Hey "dude". What did you expect from a link that is over EIGHT YEARS OLD, and that was last discussed over five years ago? It must have worked well since no one has needed to discuss it since. I think that deserves a whole lot more than "nice try". Since you were able to find a link to a file that worked for you, it would be kind of you to post that link just in case there are others looking for that type of solution, you know, save someone else from having to look "for that file all darn day", ie give back to the community. Cheers and Regards
  19. All 200mm fans should have the same mounting screw locations, so if your case has mounting points for a 200mm fan, your manual should mention it specifically, it should fit. Cheers and Regards
  20. Sorry, but I also do not see a download link anywhere on that page. Cheers and Regards
  21. Nope - different methods for IE vs non-IE. IE uses ActiveX. Cheers and Regards
  22. Go to tomasz86's site - his sig is the link. Cheers and Regards
  23. :thumbup
  24. Immigrants of course, but not just illegal. Some are good and innocent so it was settled that their stay was permissible. The other occupants and dwellers, even if they were squatters, supported this.
  25. I'm sure -X- didn't notice the previous post was over four years ago. LOL EDIT: Either that or he wanted to remind folks that this poll still exists and he was curious if anyone would still care to vote. If that was his goal it appears to be working. Cheers and Regards
