  1. I prefer DeepL. Made a bookmarklet for it, so that I can translate a selection easily. javascript:(function%20translate(){function%20se(d)%20{return%20d.selection%20?%20d.selection.createRange().text%20:%20d.getSelection()%20}s%20=%20se(document);for%20(i=0;%20i<frames.length%20&&%20!s;%20i++)s%20=%20se(frames[i].document);if%20(!s%20||%20s=='')%20s%20=%20prompt('Enter%20text%20to%20translate%20with%20DeepL','');open('https://www.deepl.com/translator#'+document.documentElement.lang+'/en/'%20+%20(s%20?%20encodeURIComponent(s)%20:%20'')).focus();})();

  2. Hi @roytam1, sorry for being off-topic! I got a private English lesson for free, and unfortunately, of all things in your thread. But now, I am initiated into the mysteries of the English language. Generally, I hate to be off-topic, but I couldn't reject such a schooling deliberately, and truth be told, I enjoyed it. Mea culpa! Kindest regards, AstroSkipper PS: And to be a bit on-topic again, I installed your recent version of NM 28, and as far as I can see, it works great. Thank you very much for all your efforts!

  3. No, am afraid it isn't right... "either" is always associated with a negation preceding it: "The Euro European currency isn't used in the United Kingdom (they use the Pound Sterling there); it isn't used in Denmark, either (they use the Danish Krone). What you should've written, probably, would be: "It (Pluto) works in German (language/subs, etc.), too!" @Dave-His a native en-GB speaker, so I'd like very much to hear his view on this...

  4. I didn't want to say "it works in Germany, too", what I meant was the movies can be watched even in my native language German either. Is that right? Or do I really have a problem with the word "either"?

  5. I can't test it at the moment. What does happen when you unpack this archive and start Mypal?

  6. I do have some experience with ESU on Windows 7, however the only difference between 7 and 8 is that Windows 8.1 is not eligable of Extended Security Updates itself. Other products of that NT-line are eligable (Server 2012/R2) of it. So, skip Windows 7 and look at back at Windows Vista - that's the situation we are dealing here with. Windows Vista also did not receive ESU, but Server 2008 SP2 did. I could install some of those for testing purposes on a Vista machine, however that was not easy. I needed an older version of an ESU-bypass tool, which was not easy to find anymore. After installing all of the needed patches, I could sideload Server 2008 SP2 ESU to Vista. Bbefore that I only got Error Codes. So, basically it is possible to do so with Windows 8.1/Server 2012 R2 too, but I have to underline that I'm not recommending doing stuff, which one hasnt paid for. You can try on your own risk :)

  7. Cool! You've many videos about "animal help and kidness" - sur YouTube search you've many videos of this genre. Too, to warm your heart, look on videos in PleaseBee YouTube channel/videos: https://www.youtube.com/user/shandxx10/videos -ex.: the process of making friends with stray cats: "There are so many good people in the world. Feeding cats makes me feel comfortable. ..." (8:56)

  8. Hi, You should ask kkapsner not me. You cannot compare an extension-specific (privacy) test in the absence of the extension.... But probably in my browser the test,with an obviously different layout, would still pass. I would like to advise you a correct way to deal with hardening (of Chromium-based browsers) otherwise I would have titled the thread in a different way don't you think ? Check in your Chromium-based browser if sandbox support returns a status. chrome://sandbox And whether hardening is possible. If you want to check a comparison in Firefox-based browsers (that would not be the purpose of this thread) you need to give the command: about:support Example of a Chromium-based browser (my browser) with hardening done,of course also thanks to the command-lines included in the first post of the thread:

  12. German and English are from the same group of languages - Germanic languages. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Germanic_languages I find the Germans to be one of the most educated nations in the world, and @AstroSkipper is absolutely right and his English is excellent . In other words, one could say "works either way", meaning the main English website version and the German language version. Here are some examples of the right usage. https://www.linguee.com/english-german/translation/works+for+me+either.html

  14. ... and "too" (often in the end of the sentence, often in conjunction with an exclamation mark) in the case of an affirmation preceding it: - I don't love you! - I don't love you, either! vs - I love you! - I love you, too!

  15. Ok, I think I understand what you mean. The word "either"has to be used in the case of a negation preceding it. Thank you very much for clarifying! Obviously, I didn't use that word correctly. Mea culpa! And many thanks again!

  16. Hate to say it ... its (plutotv) not that great at all .. maybe aliens on another planet find it exciting Too bad there is no blobfishtv down here on the ocean floor. Maybe the mods will move all our postings to streaming services thread (or something) in respect to Roytam1, feel bad about it, actually.

  17. Agreed 100% I LOVE my old DVD collection and VCR over streaming services that are collecting every bit of data to try to track your every move across the web. Free VPN services scare me. Makes me laugh when I see a commercial and they think they know me ... they are so far off. Ha, guess I'm doing something right Honestly, if they are trying to figure me out, its pretty clear I'm 1 bolt short of a complete nut case.... Yeah, even Mypal 68 wouldn't load without all those errors (in the picture I attached a page prior). What is odd is its not the browser because I tried FF 102 on Android and it loaded fine so sites are not happy with Windows?!?! YT is just awful now no matter the spoof. although a "tad" better spoofing win32 at least on my systems.

  18. One might also consider the fact many of the free offerings may be geo-blocked (e.g. YouTube Movies do offer "free" movies, but mainly in the US...); and using a VPN isn't much help, especially if you need your Google Account+credit card to sign-in/watch (because Google demand you associate it with your mobile phone number, IIANM...). I was under the impression "Free" G-Movies required you to "rent" one first with a sanctioned credit card, except for the fact the charge would be USD0.00 in that case... Another concern of mine is that most "movie" providing services listed in "yidio" (e.g AppleTV, Amazon Prime, Google Play Store, Paramount+, Hulu, Showtime, etc. ) ALL employ DRM (WidevineCDM), even for "free" content; Widevine isn't compatible with XP/Vista (thanks, Google ) ... BOTH only available in the US... (Later edit: Pluto appears to be available in select European locations: UK, Germany, Austria) The real question remains unanswered: Why does currently the desktop version of "yidio" NOT display in UXP-based browsers?

  19. I remember and I also asked for updates even in this thread for DC Browser, but I haven't heard anything yet, but still anxiously waiting with bated breath ... still waiting to exhale lol... Yes, same @hidao a lot of sites and 1 other forum won't log in, but Mypal68 seems to work when other browser won't. Even with low resources, should still be able to use V13.5 but as we can see its starting to fail, as well. I wonder it they could (magically) update for XP and Vista anymore.

  21. There are ESU-bypass tools but they‘re obviously not legal, since people pay for these updates. It‘s your own choice

  22. Ya know ... I'm thinking (I try to avoid it whenever possible) ... I wonder if we record our old cassettes and 78's with all these programs and hook up the connections as described, maybe, just maybe, we'll bring these old tunes back into style and the clubs will be looking up to us find where they can get these latest dance craze mixes. Gosh, mercy me, we'll be 'all the rage'. Its a circus in my head Remember - you heard it here first Lol...
