I am now running 17 scripts (uc.js files) and 13 CSS stylesheets (css files) just to revert the things the developers have done to the Firefox version which Mypal 68 is based on. Not to mention the extensions that I have installed to get back previous features. I have also modified themes and deactivated signature verification. Some CSS code has been created or modified by myself and some script files, too. But now, the feeling is much better when using Mypal 68. Cheers, AstroSkipper4 points

And should anyone now ask whether there's an easier way, then my answer is: No! Thank the Firefox developers who have made everything worse over the last few years! That's one of the reasons I love so much the legacy UXP browsers.4 points

... Yes, it's an arbitrary, unjustifiable, artificial block imposed by © Intel, based solely on UA-sniffing ; I'm still on St52 v52.9.0 (2023-11-10) (32-bit), i.e. only one month old, and I, too, get the "Access Denied" (Web Console reports: [HTTP/2.0 403 Forbidden]) block at the door ; guess what? Create a SSUAO with just the string "Chrome" in it and... you're in: general.useragent.override.intel.de;Chrome ... This has gotten ridiculous, if you ask me ...3 points

Unfortunately, copying and pasting the file search.json.mozlz4 is not a solution due to the search engines that are delivered with Mypal 68. These search engines are then displayed without their icons. The perfect method to transfer custom search engines from one profile to another one is using the extension mozlz4-edit by copying the code of the desired, custom search engine entries from the file search.json.mozlz4 of the source profile and pasting it into the file search.json.mozlz4 of the target profile. Of course, the syntax and the structure of the search.json.mozlz4 file must be observed. I did it, and it works perfectly. Cheers, AstroSkipper3 points

While reading is good, fancy to share your personal experience with Supermium on Vista x64? I'll then maybe consider switching from Vista x86 to Vista x64.3 points

After the recent changes to the search engines in the last versions of Mypal, @feodor2 seems not to have removed some obsolete entries regarding Bing, Wikipedia and stp (Startpage) from his code which lead to errors in the Browser Console. Here is a small excerpt from my Browser Console in Mypal 68.13.7b: Maybe, this can be removed with the next release. Cheers, AstroSkipper2 points

Yes, this 360 project was a spin-off my another project with Opera . I wrote it in 2013 (when opera became just another chrome) and then I added lots of functions . Versions are different, of course . Usually the starter works fine with a variety of versions within a range . Like Opera 44-47. Then you need to redo it again , because they always add new crap/bloat or replace/remove the flags or change the offsets . For example, my starter doesn't work with the new 21 x64 360Chrome version , I have no clue why and I'm not interested in it . This is so funny you're afraid of it , of it's size and whatnot . The new one is small though .2 points

Just wanted to answer to a guy in another topic and accidentaly closed the page . No , the keylogger did NOT reverse the contents of the reply ! So it's not there for this "useful function". Yes , I confirm the fonts problem on all of the 360chrome versions . In my case it's almost non-existent, so I just don't care . My videocard is even older . GTX Titan from Ferbruary 2013. Newer drivers do help , that's right . But they also contain bloat/crap , like vulkan , telemetry , etc.2 points

While I respect it , legal way is a bit tricky , because the original Gold Edition was using the CD checks without serials (securom scanned the CD). Later , when Vista came out , the devs released a special patch to remove the outdated protection to make it compatible with Vista . And guess what ? The CD check was removed , but you still need the original serials (not from the Gold edition , but from the addon and the main game too), this is not supported by the Gold verson at all , it was a well-known problem (bug) during that days . So you need to : 1 - find The Order of Dawn on CD and keep it's serial! I saw them for 4-5 bucks not long ago. Install. 2 - find The Breath Of Winter . Keep the SERIAL number. Install over the main game. 3 - Then download this patch 1.38 and install it . https://www.gamepressure.com/download.asp?ID=5878 4 - Then download this Gold edition patch with the removed checks , https://www.patches-scrolls.com/dl.php?file=spellforce_pol138.zip 5 - Do NOT install ! Open the zip folder and you wil see "SpellForce-POL-1.38.exe" extract this 42mb executable with 7zip . You will see setup files . Now extract with Universal Extractor , starting with data1.hdr. Now you will see "data1" folder with 8 folders inside. You need to open {MAIN POL} , and here is your main spellforce, exe file ! Replace yours with it ! That's it , enjoy the game ! Of course, it will ask you to enter/confirm your legal serials (both) , because it's not a crack. P.S. Why Polish ? Simply because others are already deleted , so many years passed (15 , at least) ... But the game will still remain in English , if you do exactly as I say.2 points

Actually, the default (global) UA string of St52 does NOT advertise it as Fx52, but as Fx102 (the previous ESR branch/channel, current being 115); this UA string does contain an end "Basilisk/52.9.0" slice but, judging from past experience using the browser , UA-sniffers either silently ignore it or outright block it altogether (not the case with "www.intel.de"; the block stays put if I remove the Bk slice) ...1 point

Agreed! I've been of the same thought for the past couple of years. I heavily modify my Serpent 52 and the ability to modify-to-liking 360Chrome is why I don't see myself ditching either it or Serpent 52 for a very long time. I have dipped my toe into Mypal 68 also, but I haven't fully vetted it yet in comparison to Serpent 52.1 point

I would actually guess the other way around. That Firefox 52.9 is seeing some form of script that it simply doesn't recognize.1 point

Just as an aside, I have for quite a while now been using the latest script version of 'Fluff Busting Purity' on 360Chrome, with OrangeMonkey, which still works perfectly of course. As long as scripting extensions still work, I hope that's going to be an option for quite a while yet with some extensions.1 point

Festive greetings Dave ; I can reproduce the initial loading and subsequent (tab) crash of the referenced TrendMicro link with my 360EEv13 (Ch86-based) copy (NOT a build made by NHTPG, BTW ) ; the error generated is identical to the screengrab posted by Skorpios ; however, I have more to report, see below: Somehow , I'm not able to reproduce here; my Kafan MiniBrowser (Ch87-based) "dirty" profile is able to load in a "rock-steady" fashion Dave's link, both in a "normal": as well as in a private window (with uBO enabled): Proof of browser used (Greek locale): uBO-v1.54.1b9+Privacy Badger v2023.12.1 installed; plus, several "experimental" flags enabled (inside chrome://flags ) ; FWIW, that same link loads OK in the UXP-based browsers (NM28/St52) and even in FxESR 52.9.x, so XP users aren't left without options beyond 360EE ... Cheers !1 point

Normal. So does Ungoogled Chromium, so does Serpent 52, those were the only two I tried before leaving the house. If you don't want stuff happening in the background, and forgive the Captain Obvious statement, then you must NOT keep things open in the background. It's that simple. No, I didn't attack you, if you don't have that experience, simply say it, but don't accuse me of something I didn't do. I'm aware MSFN is an international forum, in case you have troubles reading what I ask, I'd be more than happy to translate it to your native language. Btw, it's not the first time you're unfriendly to me, I don't understand your hostility and weird behaviour.1 point

Menu bar items on hover when using themes I don't know if anyone has ever noticed the following display annoyance in Mypal 68. I recently started using a theme (containing a black cat. What else! ) in Mypal 68 and when I move my mouse over the menu entries, the respective entry is difficult to read and is not displayed correctly. Here is a screenshot when the default theme is enabled, and everything is fine: And now a screenshot when another theme such as my black cat theme is enabled: The Bookmarks entry is barely legible. Same with the entries File, Edit, View, History, Tools and Help. That's annoying. Therefore, I have created a small fix in form of a CSS stylesheet. Here is the code: menu[_moz-menuactive="true"], menuitem[_moz-menuactive="true"] { background-color: -moz-menuhover !important; color: -moz-menuhovertext !important; } And here is the result: Now, the inverted colour is displayed correctly again when hovering. Although a little blurred due to the activated theme (I think it is an overlay effect), it is much better to read than before. Save the code in a CSS file and import it to the userChrome.css file if you are affected too! Or simply download the file menubar-items-on-hover.css I uploaded to my file-hosting service! Edit: I checked this little blurred effect again and could fix it. Here is the new code: menu[_moz-menuactive="true"], menuitem[_moz-menuactive="true"] { background-color: -moz-menuhover !important; color: -moz-menuhovertext !important; text-shadow: none !important; } This is a screenshot when using the modified code above with my favourite theme: You see it looks now as it was when using the default theme. And here is the download link of the file menubar-items-on-hover.css containing the modified code: https://www.mediafire.com/file/ciprmjkzcgnzprz/menubar-items-on-hover.css/file Cheers, AstroSkipper1 point

I downloaded it, but haven't fully tried it yet. MC-HC is not meant to be run as is (I reckon), unlike VLC. You can really tweak the hell out of MPC-HC, and get a depth of composition, filtering, shading and sound quality that I have made over the years and works for me to watch dvd-br in nearly home theater style. I could do that in the experimental build I linked better than with the official MPC-HC (at least until I could use it in my stri-naked in shinny leather XP -me frankestein in A4, so to speak).1 point

I am running Windows XP Professional SP3 32 Bit on real hardware. Serpent 55 (2023-07-07) is starting and running fine here without any problems. Here is a screenshot as a proof: Cheers, AstroSkipper1 point

Draker forgot to tell you about the most amazing addon "SpellForce The Breath of Winter" , also released in one package with The Order Od Dawn under the name SpellForce Gold. Dungeon siege is nowhere near this game . I played them all . I can help you with the right version and setting up this game . There was a patch (official) that removes outdated CD checks . You need Spellforce any version below 1.3 . Then patch it with the patch 1.38. Can send you the link , if you're interested . I played this wonderful addon in 2004 on a cheap ar_se 1.5Ghz mobile Celeron and Intel "extreme" (lol) graphics and Win2000 . Worked fine. Later there was a "Phoenix" addon that bumped the version to 1.5x , but it's still being sold at steam , so no protection-free patches , but this addon is no good anyways ! In any case , do NOT patch the game to 1.5x versions to avoid bugs.1 point
