  1. Yes, but not via DVI. "Nov 3, 2013 — Dual link DVI cannot support 10-bit color at 1440p. 1920x1200 or 1920x1080, maybe." https://linustechtips.com/topic/71182-does-dual-link-dvi-support-10-bit-colours-1440p/ Like I said, try Display Port.

  2. Generally, everything I said in my last post applies. But unfortunately not for https://browserleaks.com/tls which does not work properly with ProxHTTPSProxyMII 1.3a due to certificate problems. I have just tested it. As we already know, this old proxy supports only SHA1 for signing certificates but not SHA256. For browserleaks.com, you need a more recent version of ProxHTTPSProxy and a more recent browser. No full functionality in IE8 anymore. Therefore, forget about https://browserleaks.com/tls and try https://www.ssllabs.com/ssltest/viewMyClient.html! Here is a screenshot accessing https://www.ssllabs.com/ssltest/viewMyClient.html with ProxHTTPSProxyMII 1.3a and IE8: This service works with the old ProxHTTPSProxyMII 1.3a. As you can see, the old proxy already supports the TLS 1.2 protocol. Therefore, it should work with MU/WU. But one thing is clear: ProxHTTPSProxyMII 1.3a is obsolete and won't work properly with many sites in these days. Cheers, AstroSkipper

  3. Not really. Actually, you do not need to add browserleaks.com anywhere. So, why did you do that? Anyway! Please, remove these entries! If ProxHTTPSProxyMII 1.3a has been configured correctly, entered as a proxy in IE and started, it should work immediately when calling up browserleaks.com in IE. In any case, the website must not show n/a (no js). Your current settings block JavaScript on this website. No good. All SSL connections should be processed by ProxHTTPSProxyMII. You should only modify the config.ini file if you really know what you are doing and for what reason. Otherwise, the proxy won't work as expected due to misconfigurations.

  5. These days they fingerprint by the vendor tag and clienthints (this nasty thing still works, even if you disabled java) , so you will most likely just fool yourself . I mean, they will know you real vendor and they will get hints, but won't be able to show you the results of the test because you disabled the java script . I think I explained this to user arcticfroxie (or what his name currently is). I even took a screnshot . There was a debate where he insisted to disable javascript but still was detected by the HTML5 test website , while I wasn't. Later Tripredacus also wrote that he just couldn't see the results , while still being fingerprinted . This all could be foound on this website.

  6. No , it's not , if one uses proper measures against fingerprinting and doesn't pay with his CC. Of course you need to read a lot , train alot. Also , such kind of a person will most likely avoid FB in the first place , lol. Do not use VPN from commie/"ex"-commie or five eyes countries . You need to read the laws of the country where this VPN provider located.

  7. Well , it's gotta be short and sweet , yet right to the point . How about : 1- Firefox is a lying sack of sh** (classics , but won't pass the moderation , I guess) 2- Firefox sold it's soul to the commie devil, get alternatives ASAP ! 3- Firefox hides the nastiest FSB telemetry under the hood, yet pretends to be "privacy oriented". 4- Firefox will fingerprint the hell out of you and send the results to KGB. No. 2 is pretty close to your current name. P.S. Firefox , Palemoon, Mypal, Waterfox and all it's "forks" leak data to MS , Yandex , Amazon , Cloudfare , etc. They will fingerprint the hell outta you , even if you have their "privacy resist fingerprinting" on ! See the attached images.

  8. @Mr.Scienceman2000 , great post , but somehow I think the name isn't too bright to attract the readers. It's not just "problems" , it's the whole browser that is a huge problem itself . Completely sold to yandex , that's why I suggested a more hard (brutal bashing style) approach . Basically, it's a commie browser now . Also , all of it's forks leak data to yandex too ! I'm just wondering why @ArcticFoxie is still not here, he wrote some marvellous , oustanding (bashing style) posts about the commie firefox . I ask you to join and (maybe) move your posts here . Just made you a compliment again , which you deserved. Well , arcticFoxie , if you won't come here , I shall understand , perhaps you're just afraid of the angry browser fans.

Red stands for CSS only, blue for JavaScript only, and green for both, JavaScript + CSS. Cheers, AstroSkipper

  14. You still have 3 lines: "bootmenupolicy Standard" that you should change to: "bootmenupolicy Legacy" If you don't want to do it with bootice than use bcdedit bcdedit -set {current} bootmenupolicy Legacy bcdedit -set {b2c1b3c3-8029-11ee-a83b-c85b76503892} bootmenupolicy Legacy bcdedit -set {5070e151-81b7-11ee-a844-c85b76503892} bootmenupolicy Legacy @sharicov@gmail.com There is MinWin if you left click on "Mode" label. That let's you create a minimal windows. The other 2 features make no sense. First OS than create boot files. If you already have some VHD's mount them and use BCDBoot.exe to create boot files. Or use WinNTSetup and leave the source combo box empty while selecting boot partition and the mounted VHD.

  15. As a FYI , even when using very recent versions of ProxHTTPSProxy, several fields in the https://browserleaks.com/tls detection page apparently don't work with the IEx severely outdated Javascript engine ; I have developed a Vista SP2 x86 targeting edition of ProxyMII (based on the original work by cmalex ), which uses: ProxHTTPSProxyMII-v1.5 (python script) CPython-3.7.17 x86 (EoS for py3.7) cffi-1.15.1 (EoS for py3.7) colorama-0.4.6 cryptography-41.0.5 pyOpenSSL-23.3.0 PySocks-1.7.1 urllib3-1.26.18 (script incompatible with urllib3 >=2.0.0a1) and when IE9 is configured to use it, the sections Protocol Support, Mixed Content Test and TLS Fingerprint remain empty: Best regards

  16. I thought so. I had resigned to not using it, as I knew that October 2023 updates were going to be the last ones generally available. I have turned off the Windows Update service, since I now just manually update Windows Defender. So I'm going to run the OS as is for the remainder of the year. I'm still getting updates for Firefox ESR 115, so we're good until September there. I'm OK that I can't use these new ESU updates for Windows 8. I always installed the "Security Only Update" and not the rollups, since that allowed me to bypass the Spectre, Meltdown and Flash patches. End of an era. Next year I'll move to Windows 10 LTSC 2019. I'll miss ya Windows 8.

  19. Thank you! The colours look like they simply don't have enough shades, whereas my old cars has rich colours, for example: blue is a simple plain blue. I'd make a screenshot, but all those screen capturing programmes won't show much difference. I'm fond of cosmetics and it's very important for me to see the lipstick shades. I put the old card back, all is fine again. No gradients at all, with the both cards.

  28. Welp - Chase finally lowered the boom this week, and it appears there are no XP-compatible browsers left that still work with Chase.com! 360EE (Chromium 86-based) doesn't work; nor does Kafan MiniBrowser (Chromium 87-based), nor do @roytam1's browsers. (I'll post more on those at his thread.) As mentioned above, your UA must claim at least Chromium 109 on Windows or Chase will flat-out reject your browser. (I found that Chrome 106 on Android does still work, so apparently 106 is "good enough" in terms of capability, and Chase accepts a "Chrome 106 on Android" UA even though they reject a "Chrome 106 on Windows" UA. An Android UA produces an unwanted pop-up suggesting their app, though; so I'd stick with 109 on Windows if it worked.) BTW, Chase.com also rejects Edge 109! I had to use a Chromium 109 UA to get in. Ridiculous. Anyway, with a UA that Chase will accept, you can sign in - but (except Edge 109) the next screen only has the header with no account details, so it's pretty useless. Edit: I experimented a bit with portable versions of UnGoogled Chromium. It appears the minimum version that works is Chromium 98, unless you use polyfills. StructuredClone at a minimum is required, but the polyfill contributed by @UCyborg doesn't work for Chase. Edit 2: Using some code I found on the Web, I was able to create a structuredClone polyfill that works for Chase on Chromium 97. I'll test it later and see if it works on 86/87 too. Edit 3: It does! Here's the link:

  48. OK , let's imagine you live in some Zuristan with a communist/dem. dictator . (no real countries mentioned). 1 - All western websites are blocked. 2 - The commie police has all ISP in this imagined country under full control (forged certificates , MITM ). 3 - You need to write to your relatives who were lucky to escape to a free country . You still think a free working VPN is a bad idea ? Even though we assume the VPN provider from another (non-commie) country logs your activity .

  49. Wrong , you just don't know how to do it properly , you need to inject it , not to use extensions and the such . Also , you need to block the platform tag in the browser itself . Do not disinform people . I remember our lengthy discussion in another topic where you couldn't cheat HTML5 test website, but I could and provided with the proof. Aren't you gonna say something about Firefox ?

  50. @Mr.Scienceman2000 , excuse me , but the name is kinda nurdy . Why would you ask me then ? And , most importantly, it doesn't reflect the current (awful) state of things . I think those words " mitigate problems" are giving false hopes to the users . Of course , you may not agree , it's your topic . I see you ignored my discovery with 100% fingerprinting , lemme ask why ? This "problem" cannot be solved , the only solution is to dump this browser. Don't you agree ? But if you know how , do tell.
