Then it's like they said, Vista+. Then it's this browser fault, but I still doubt it will work under 32bit XP, did you try?4 points

No, on the contrary, the US government’s agenda looks very much pro-Russian, otherwise it wouldn't be 1.6 million Russians in New York alone. I'm scared to even imagine their amount in other US places, like Florida. I wonder how many of them use Kaspersky? Now tell me, how many Americans live in Moscow or Russia? Let me help you - none, Zero, zip, ziltch, nada! That's really anti-American.3 points

In that topic they discuss the portability of the Supermium's installer and or Supermium itself, but not the ability to store passwords, extensions and the such in the portable version, which the OP requested. For this win32 would need to re-implement the above flags I pointed out to.2 points

Simple to explain, I don't know about @Saxon, but I run the original non-modified version of 2044, because I can't run yours due to the Trojan Warning, after which the browser simply can't start. Saxon also seems to use the non-modified version of 2044, hence the screenshot.2 points

The U.S. federal government banned the use of Kaspersky software. By Mark Hachman, Senior Editor, PCWorld MAR 28, 2022 9:59 AM PDT Antimalware provider Kaspersky Lab has been blacklisted by the U.S. Federal Communications Commission, adding its name alongside Huawei and ZTE as companies that are deemed a threat to national security. The FCC maintains a list of companies which are “deemed to pose an unacceptable risk to national security or the security and safety of United States persons,” and added Kaspersky to the list on Friday. Officially, the list now includes China Mobile International USA Inc., China Telecom (Americas) Corp, and AO Kaspersky Labs, as well as their subsidiaries. FCC Commissioner Brendan Carr said in a statement that adding those companies to the list “will help secure our networks from threats posed by Chinese and Russian state backed entities.” If a company is on the restricted list, it can’t receive federal subsidies, Bloomberg reported. The U.S. federal government banned the use of Kaspersky software in federal information systems in 2017 because of concerns about Kaspersky’s links to the Russian government. Individual users may continue to use products blacklisted by the FCC if they choose to do so, however. Kaspersky does not appear in PCWorld’s list of the best antivirus programs for your PC but does appear in the current list of PCWorld’s best free antivirus programs for Windows. If you try to install Kaspersky’s free tools, Windows Defender may flag Kaspersky as dangerous. We encountered the issue in our testing, though it wasn’t clear why the issues occurred. Author: Mark Hachman, Senior Editor As PCWorld's senior editor, Mark focuses on Microsoft news and chip technology, among other beats. He has formerly written for PCMag, BYTE, Slashdot, eWEEK, and ReadWrite. https://www.pcworld.com/article/626854/kaspersky-blacklisted-as-a-risk-to-u-s-national-security.html1 point

Your YouTube first-launch error cannot be related to gstatic. I also block gstatic systemwide and YouTube works fine for me. I do intentionally block the first-launch "suggested videos" or whatever they are called. All of the crap videos that load on first launch are intentionally not displayed to me, I never watch them and have no interest in the type of crap that the first-launch is POLLUTED with. I have zero interest in whatever the latest "viral" video is, I use YouTube for research or background music, zero interest in anybody's "five minutes of fame". I also intentionally disable any video classified as a "short".1 point

jaclaz, do you always treat official government warnings, published at official government websites as "some info", apart from their rather simple writing style, which you evidently didn't like? Or only in such rather limited cases that affect this specific software, namely Kaspersky? Please bare in mind, it's just a simple question, out of curiosity, nothing else! And I'll be perfectly fine, if it wil be unanswered. Thank you! If you want my opinion in advance, as well as the opinions of other millions of people that listen to their government, I think it's a very serious warning, despite the primitive language, and here I agree with you!1 point
-
Is that so! How wonderful for you! Where were you when I sought help with the transltion a week ago, and even outlined it in your most visited topic? More of a rhetorical question. I can't be blamed for any official statements given by any government, including the Italian Government, I'm sure there was a reason they speak their usual diplomatic language, and, as any government, they don't have to provide proof for their every action. If they came to such a conclusion, they had their investigation completed and all facts checked out! If you have any doubts about it, you have your right to call the helpline of Italian Government, or even go to the court of law, trying to establish a protection path for Kaspersky. In your posts, you like to point out to MSFN "is not like it used to be", where "polite and plain conversation is not possible anymore", yet even if we take this one post of yours, where you call my posts "this kind of meaningless crap could be a good use for Chat-GPT", you show outrageous disrespect, you yourself is very rude. Meanwhile, MSFN rules still sate:"the forum was built upon mutual respect". And even if you think so, Chat-GPT would still be a polite on-topic subject, unlike your attempt at sensless bickering once again, which totally blasts away common sense and politeness.1 point

@roytam1 Thanks for your clarification! For me as a freedom-loving person , the whole thing is unimaginable and extremely depressing. Maybe, a cooperation between you and @basilisk-dev really is a way to continue this great browser project in the future. I sincerely hope that things do not take a turn for the worst and that the further development of these fantastic browsers does not have to be discontinued. If I had anywhere near your skills in this area, I would make myself available in a heartbeat. Unfortunately, that is not the case. Anyway! Hope dies last.1 point

Thank you very much, @we3fan! That's a confirmation I really needed. Unfortunately, I have to conclude that there is indeed a problem in my Windows XP partition (with all POSReady updates). And it doesn't seem to be related to the POSReady updates themselves as I assumed. Therefore, I have to investigate that again and this time much more deeply although I already did a lot of fixing and cleaning. Anyway! Great job! Thanks again for all your efforts!1 point

Another appeal! Is anyone here in the forum using Windows XP SP3 (32 Bit) Professional, fully updated including all POSReady Updates on real hardware without any virtualization (not running in a VM) like me? If so, please read this post for doing a short test of Glarysoft Startup Manager or Quick Startup! A screenshot of the main window showing application and Windows services would be very helpful! Thanks in advance! Greetings, AstroSkipper1 point

I am beginning to wonder what thread we are in here. This thread was opened by me to talk about Startup Managers for Windows XP. So please, back on topic, guys! I also continue to wonder where all these supposed Windows XP users actually are. Testing my problem takes only a few minutes and is completely unproblematic. At the moment, I seem to be the only one using Windows XP Professional SP3 32 Bit with all POSReady updates on a real machine (no VM).1 point

Unfortunately, I have no choice! I would like to visit the past with a time machine. I think so but I don't want to discuss that here. Anyway! I just wanted to find out if anybody else noticed this issue. For comparison reason, I would prefer a testing on a real machine, no VM. Just to find out whether Glarysoft behaves differently with vs. without POSReady updates.1 point

Ok! I'm going to go a round further now as I'm getting fed up with this nonsense. Obviously @bluebolt is not willing to disclose any meaningful information here and share his knowledge with us in this forum. And that will have its reasons. First of all, here are the facts: The still downloadable online installers don't work anymore. BitDefender must have removed the online sources which these installers need to download. Offline installers are no longer available. All links seem to be removed. In one of @bluebolt's pictures, one can clearly see that a connection to My BitDefender is no longer possible. Here is a quotation from this picture: "My Bitdefender: Could not connect to server" Regarding these facts it is also pretty obvious why @bluebolt only spreads information here that is not really helpful. I assume or, even stronger, I am quite sure that even if such an offline installer exists, a successful activation of a new installation via the user interface won't be possible any longer. The reason for this was provided by @bluebolt himself: No connection to My BitDefender means no login into the user's account which unfortunately is necessary for a successful activation. Therefore, a new activation is no longer possible. I therefore consider BitDefender 1.0.21.1109 obsolete and no longer usable. No entry in my "list of working antimalware, firewall, and other security programs for Windows XP", but at most in the "list of programs that have recently been abandoned", although it actually was abandonded for more than a year. And further information is no longer necessary either, certainly not such pointless information that is not actually intended to help potential users of this program here in the forum.1 point

Perhaps you need to ask @win32 then, since the driver you used isn't mine, obviously. Nvidia Control Panel and CUDA/CUVID/DXVA/Physx and the others you want, they all work in the driver from my tutorial. On the other hand, I also checked his 398 driver and CUVID/DXVA/Physx definitely worked for me ! But then again, I have an ancient fossil , 8 years old GTX Titan X, a piece of crap for poor people. In win32's 398.11 driver I didn't try OpenCL, OpenGL, WebGL and Vuklan, since I never use them.1 point
