  1. Well, one thing that has to be said for sure is that LNER (or the people designing their web app, "omio"), are sworn enemies of older browser engines... Test URI: https://www.lnerinternational.com/?locale=en-GB FirefoxESR 52.9.1: Blank tab, Web Console reports: SyntaxError: invalid property id app.4510a2428834b09c7e40.js:1:7838 Latest Serpent 52.9.0: Blank tab, Web Console reports: SyntaxError: bad method definition app.4510a2428834b09c7e40.js:7:1223 360EEv11 (Ch69-based): Blank tab, Javascript console reports: Uncaught SyntaxError: Unexpected token . app.4510a2428834b09c7e40.js?build=f2ea66a8ffe78691ca992b0eecc3f062813a5a64:1 360EEv12 (Ch78-based)): Blank tab, Javascript Console reports: Uncaught SyntaxError: Unexpected token '.' app.4510a2428834b09c7e40.js?build=f2ea66a8ffe78691ca992b0eecc3f062813a5a64:1 I believe both v11+v12 fail due to, among other, lack of Optional Chaining Operator (?.) support (implemented in Ch80) ... It's only 360EEv13/13.5 (Ch86-based) that is able to render the LNER web app correctly; don't ask me for how much longer...

  2. Oh Sal Hello again, this is almost the view I can see on my vacation... Thank you very much for this, and for all the involvement in this topic, which is very well appreciated. "You will get stronger each day and no rush to 'catch up' here just pop in once and a while " - Very good advice, makes sense, thank you! I take daily walks of 1.5 - 2 hours max to maintain myself! This is the man we could rely on, nice. I enjoy reading all your posts, Sal! Hi D., rest assured of my many warm thoughts on you all during my illness! Take more care of your health... 3. ... Same story in FileHippo: https://filehippo.com/download_process-explorer/history/ May I ask where exactly did you locate a copy of v16.26 (same question extended to @mina7601 ) ? My search skills produced as a result a Korean blog, where v16.26 is being offered as an attachment ... The 32-bit binary has both sha1+sha256 file signatures of 2019-06-29 ...

  4. Sure thing , especially for the "UK version" of LNER originally referenced (that does load mis-formatted); but in the case of the "international" version of LNER, older browser engines never go as far as loading CF CSS code ; they simply "barf" early on (yielding blank tabs), due to the fact the infringing Javascript code contains no less than 84 instances of "?." (optional chaining operator) and no less than 19 instances of "??" (nullish coalescing operator) ... BTW, latest St52 does support both of them, but the cause of breakage there is something else: SyntaxError: bad method definition app.4510a2428834b09c7e40.js:7:1223 Perhaps @roytam1 could be kind enough to share some insight on this...

  6. @soggi, actually, all has already been said. may do their own research to confirm statements of other members if they are uncertain. The only way to get rid of uncertainty. There is one main principal: Trust is good, control is better! And I follow this rule generally. And that doesn't mean I don't trust you, though, and hopefully, maybe, you trust me either... Kind regards, AstroSkipper

  7. I think more like twenty. It's a new version every month now , lol. I understand one could easily lose count . Here it is. Chromium 105.0.5169.0 https://www.techspot.com/downloads/4936-chromium.html That's why I think it's better to create something like a universal launcher in a VM that imitates Win10 on Vista an not chase every new version and mod it. As for 13.5 , it's obsolete for me in France for over than 0.5 year , at least. Can't shop , can't get discounts at my gym website , etc. But when I politely suggested (not directly) maybe it's time to update the version , remember the reaction ? * I asked in another thread, not here.

  8. @AstroSkipper I'm completely with you with the use of "AFAIK". I just wanted to say that I already mentioned the facts (and I also would use something like "AFAIK", if I wouldn't be sure for 100%), no offensive diction. It is some kind of unnecessary uncertainty for other members/readers who don't know the specifications of those CPUs exactly, whom to trust and so on... kind regards soggi

  12. Mighty fine! Everything needed works in the latest build (20220706/9), turns out that problem saving files went away after I compared refreshed prefs.js and my profile's prefs.js and modified (mainly) the browser.startup.homepage_override.mstone to 4.8.5.

  13. Well I'll have to make the move sometime, but not quite yet! When Firefox 52.9 ESR becomes unusable I will have to. Frankly I'm surprised that Mozilla still allow 52.9 ESR to use Firefox sync, browser companies usually stop older versions using their syncing systems, citing security risks.

  14. Thanks, good to know that there is a possible workaround. Personally I have Firefox 102 and Edge 103 on Windows 10 to fall back on with my multi-boot machine, so it wouldn't be worth it going to that trouble. It's annoying, but I can put up with it. It's just good to know what the problem actually is! The main problem will be when sites that I use all the time start failing in 360Chrome. I've already found more failing in Firefox 52.9 ESR, the latest being https://forums.digitalspy.com which suddenly started just producing a blank white page unless JavaScript was disabled. This is a site I use all the time. Some functionality is lost with JavaScript disabled, but at least I can still read the forums there! It's still OK in 360Chrome, touch wood!

  15. thanks for flags you provided. "--disable-file-system --disable-gpu" really works in term of memory relief. I can see when a thread of memory release as a tag is closed. I can't find what "--disable-file-system" do it seems disable file sytem file api but nothing in detail. For DC browser update I will be looking forward it.

  17. The fact that Feodor has been able to do as much as he has, given the circumstances, is truly incredible. I admire his dedication and enthusiasm for the projects he's worked on over the years...his 'old' MyPal (29.3.0) is still one of my primary daily-use browsers in XP, and it's been very exciting to see the progress that has been made so far on the newer 68. He's one talented coder, as his 'resurrected' MyPal 68 has proven...it's a shame to look back on that whole fiasco nearly one year later, because the Pale Moon developers had an opportunity to take the highest of high roads by inviting Feodor to work with them and even help them restore official compatibility to benefit XP/Vista users, but instead they fought and alienated him and many others. In a more ideal world, there would have been a mutual respect that could have led to a long-term partnership, maybe even a friendship. I'm genuinely praying for him, his family, and all of his friends...and of course, I'm keeping Roy in my thoughts too as he's in Hong Kong. They both come from places that have been through so much, especially in recent times. To Roy and Feodor: thank you both VERY much for everything you have done. Your efforts have never, ever been in vain.

  18. You will get stronger each day and no rush to 'catch up' here just pop in once and a while On a good day, if I can manage to leave the house and go on a trip I can get to see this. https://www.etsy.com/nz/listing/531617182/sky-drama-at-sand-hills-scituate-ma Been a VERY long time and almost hard to even remember, but I could be the only soul walking and not feel alone or lonely at all, just need to detox a little bit every day and let go of the poison(s) that easily can pollute our being and take a toll on physical health.

  19. I also find: --disable-file-system --disable-gpu ...to be helpful in both 360 and DC Browser. In fact, I use for DC Browser: --no-first-run --disable-file-system --disable-gpu --disable-logging --disable-webg --disable-component-update --disable-background-networking --ssl-version-min=tls1.2 --enable-strict-mixed-content-checking --no-pings Tons of flags that I'll write later today. Overall a better option than V12 IMHO, and maybe (just maybe) the autor will discover a way to update it again We're gonna bring DC Browser back to life, of course, when you are feeling up to it, No rush, just get better and stronger each day and try to detox just little each from from the madness.

  26. Well .. I just came across this article and it lifted my mood away from the focus on everything that is wrong - even if for a little bit - just need to step away and step back from the madness and enjoy something. 35. I don't want you to lose your therad - you are a very nice man and I hope you will feel better soon. Please take care and try to eat well and sleep well. I know I push sleep; but tis its the best medicine. Try to get up every day around the same time, and if possible, try to get some sun. I know its hard, but sun during the day helps your Circadian rhythms which can do wonders to those of us with cardiac issues. Stress, yeah, hard to avoid these days, but try to push out/away the BS in life and focus on what is right. You have shown us there are beautiful things we could be missing in life when life is in chaos. Your love for animals (disdain animal abuse) and other people have touched us all and you can see the beauty in nature and make others also see through your posting. I will be so bold to say this, by posting here as such you are helping others. Please remember: we care about you here and want you to be well and posting again. I still hope you won't give up on this thread, and when you feel better, please consider more. I don't know if this is your thing, but I found this to be soothing and uplifting - hope you enjoy. Wishing you well. ~Sal
