  1. And here's where you're wrong buddy. Windows 10 Home x64 seems to be working perfectly on VMware Workstation 10.0.3 if you set the virual machine to Windows 8.1 settings on the initial configuration when you create the virtual machine itself. Also, Windows 8.1 vmware tools seem to work great on Windows 10.

  2. I won't wait them for my next builds. But they may appear in my end-of-June Saturday builds.

  3. It seems that MCP people don't notice MFSA2019-18, I ported mozilla upstream change to my SP55 and UXP repo (fx45 repo will wait for TenFourFox's changes) EDIT: actually they did aware that. how did they get different conclusion than TenFourFox? http://tenfourfox.blogspot.com/2019/06/stand-by-for-fpr14-spr1-chemspill.html

  7. Since June 18, all free versions that are below version 14 no longer work. It seems that the latest version that runs on XP is 14.2.8352. Here is a link where you can download it: https://dl.teamviewer.com/download/version_14x/14.2.8352/TeamViewer_Setup.exe Wrote here so that others can download the working version.

  8. For triple boot 98-XP-10 you can try to copy the Boot folder and bootmgr of Win10 to the C: drive. Then use BootICE to edit the BCD file in this folder. Fix the entry for Win10 and add another one for the ntldr of XP. After that change the PBR of the C: partition to bootmgr. If this works properly, you should get a menu to either boot directly to Win10, or open a second menu to select between XP and 98.

  9. Yes, that is true. My main complaint with AVAST is that it slows down file deletion, sometimes to a ridiculous extent. And it's a bit more paranoid than MSE, requiring some exceptions to be created (although nowhere near as bad as Symantec!) That said, even MSE was getting to be a pain toward the end. I had to exclude browser files from it, and rely instead on MBAE, in order to get adequate performance. Ironically I haven't had to do that with AVAST yet. (Also still running MBAE, although I probably don't need to any more....)

  10. Thank you so much @FranceBBfor porting 2.3.1. But there's one little problem (I hope it's the only one)... It's supposed to show names of plugins instead of "filenames". I hope you will take a look at this.

  11. Grub4DOS can not only boot from different partitions in different HDDs, obviating the need to go into BIOS, but also can do it in an unobtrusive way, from a DOS config.sys menu, inside the Win 98 partition. If you want to try that I can guide you along the process. I reccomend GRUB4DOS 0.4.5c 2015-12-31 for the task: while there're surely newer builds, that's the one I'm using from release time and I know for a fact it'll do the job, all right. In case you want to take the plunge, do let me know.

  12. I do agree about security suites like Avast not being great for low resource and/or low powered machines. I put it on the XP side of my netbook to replace MSE, and it did cause some problems. Now I have Malwarebytes on it, and it's much better, but you have to pay for that to get real time scanning.
