  1. Gotta love the topic title! What more needs to be said? That's what happens when you give the job to a bunch of post teenagers that don't know the difference between a real computer and a toy id*** phone.

  2. On this page: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4472027/2019-sha-2-code-signing-support-requirement-for-windows-and-wsus it says Legacy Windows operating systems will receive Stand Alone and Preview of Monthly Rollup updates that introduce SHA-2 code sign support. Now my question is the stand alone patch will be just that stand alone, right? Also, will this be available on the Window Update Catalog because I've had issues using Windows Update and would rather download the patch from the catalog instead of in Windows. Thank you very much

  3. (Not exactly XP related, but I think this subforum fits best, somehow?) In the last few days Cloudflare's anti-DDoS pre-page stopped being compatible with older browsers like Opera 12 and older Firefox (it fails with "t.eharCundefineddeAt is not a function"). I really dislike how the whims of external companies, unrelated to the actual sites you visit, can force the web's hand. Last year it was Google's reCaptcha that stopped being compatible. Now it's Cloudflare, which arguably is used in even more places. Doing the "validation" on a new browser then copying the cookie __cfduid seems to work, for now.

  4. The "new feature" is that it won't work unless you're using (or can fool GitHub into thinking you're using) the latest "greatest" browser to access their site. That may not seem like much of a "feature" to you or me, but it's definitely a "feature" to GitHub's owner, Micro$oft: it sells Windows updates since those browsers won't run on Vista or earlier Windows versions. I'd guess that GitHub sends every browser (except a few specific ones) JavaScript based on the ECMAScript 2018 standard, which won't work on anything but the newest browsers. Luckily, if you pretend to be 60.x, that's one of the few browsers that will get "legacy" JS based on ECMAScript 2017 which NM 27 still can't completely handle ... I've been wondering about that myself. I would assume MCP will try either to backport the necessary JS enhancements or to update the JS engine themselves, but one wonders how practical that will be - and there's some chance they'll have to throw in the towel on UXP, and PM 29 will be Quantum-based....

  5. From my School's facebook page. XP has been spotted at my city's "Rigveda" Learning Center. Looks like Firefox on XP to me!

  6. @Mathwiz There is this site here, they use cloudflare to check your browser. http://www7.putlockers.fm/ Never had any trouble with NM28, Basilisk 52 or mypal.

  7. Very good. I've manually installed both .xpi and despite the Simple Locale Switcher doesn't work (it doesn't even appear!) now the interface is fine localized. TY so much. I know also for me, but in some context (re-use of old machines, educational etc.) you can't think only for yourself, but have to targetting approach. Nowadays an XP environment is still the most comfortable way to let people uneducated (often not so young) embrace basic informatic skills; adding language issue can increase the wall.

  8. I guess the question on everyone's mind now is, are FF 52.9 / Serpent / New Moon / @roytam1's K-Meleon builds broken too? Is there a test page?

  9. I had exactly the same issues in my testings with 1050Ti on Vista. Unfortunately, I was not able to get it to work. Only OpenGL games ran fine. For any DirectX ones, you'd be better of playing with a toaster. After all, I ended up getting an GTX 970 and I am on XP now. Everything works flawlessly.

  10. I doubt it. According to statcounter, XP's market share was 1.75% in March; Windows 98SE's share was 2.7% in July 2006 when it ended support. Nonetheless. there is still the possibility that later today (4/1) M$ may make the decision to extend XP support forever...

  11. This is Windows XP at the U.S, Customs and Border Protection checkpoint at the Detroit-Windsor Tunnel, as shown on a new episode of the TV series Border Security: America's Front Line. The episode did premiere this month, though there's been a 2 1/2 year gap between seasons, so this was likely filmed in 2017 or 2018.

  12. I have updated my backend file to enable download of the new builds. Also I now have an installer version specifically for win2k. Keep in mind that Win2k requires BWC's extended kernel for the browsers to function and that they are not officially supported on Win2k. http://i430vx.strangled.net/files/Win2k/Win2k RoyTam Browser Installer.exe For everyone else: Please continue to use the normal version. The win2k version is not tested on XP/Vista Normal version always right here when you need it: http://i430vx.strangled.net/files/XP/RoyTam Browser Installer.exe Changes coming to my installer soon: -Unification of the two installer versions -NM27 support (Soon! Soon! I hear your requests! ) As always, if you find any bugs with the installer, or have any suggestions or questions, make sure to let me know.

  19. Have just tested the language files from the Firefox version 52.9.0 in version 52.9.1 successfully. Download from the Firefox version 52.9.0 language files and download the Simple Locale Switcher (v 1.0.2). Note: Maybe these files should also be backed up.

  20. Yours is almost the newest. @roytam1 creates a new version every week, so there is one newer version. You probably don't need to update every week, but if you insist, try this: Go to Roytam1's blog: https://rtfreesoft.blogspot.com/ Press Ctrl-F to find a string. The brower's string search box will appear Type -sse in the search box That will take you straight to the link to the newest SSE version.
