My school uses XP on their POS machines. Everything else is 7 or 10. And yes, the ThinkCentre is old enough to be (co-)branded IBM. There are still plenty of IBM POS systems floating around my area, but the screens were out of my sight.2 points

Have new build generated by ProxHTTPSProxy v1.5 (Rev3b), various python modules updated (cryptography-2.6.1_openssl-1.1.0j), config.ini supplemented by some entries, CA certificates (cacert.pem) updated and alternativ cacert.pem from MSCerts (Cert_Updater) 11/28/2018. If anyone has interest please write a PM to me. Info: At Python 3.44 the support ends in March 2019. With the latest official cryptography module version 2.6.1 (Feb 28, 2019) ProxHTTPSProxy does not work on Windows XP anymore. Last official working version 2.4.2 (Nov 21, 2018).1 point

What's rude with informing an user to test the drivers by themselves if they work and posting in a correct subforum(since you yourself have made the inf file)? You kind of remind me of this guy in this very own forum making a thread in the vista subsection about somebody to make an unattended setup program for a pre-release version of Windows. Even though I don't want to jump into the conclusions you might be the guy that made the thread mentioned in first place, given these set of circumstances (that might or might not be inaccurate): nationality (Turkey) kind of similar typing style getting passively aggresive when somebody doubts your "project" Something makes me think that you're trolling1 point

The "classic" / "default" / "basic" theme needs a lot of work. The long term goal is to better match Interlink's classic theme. Though, classic isn't exactly high priority in Borealis development even though what you are using is NOT a BinOC product as I THOUGHT we already established. My installer should be able to handle the new builds— I’m unable to test at the moment but it should work. EDIT: Yep, it's working!1 point

@TrevMUN Assuming you're using NTFS file system, your only concern with Windows XP x86 or x64 is creating an aligned partition. Once that is done, the subsequent formatting and OS install can be handled by XP. Probably lots of tools can do this, here's one way to go about it, off the top of my head... Use diskpart in Vista repair disk or Windows 7 to create the aligned partition (the offset). Hook up your SSD to the Windows 7 computer, open command prompt and enter "diskpart.exe" without the quotes. Enter "List disks" and identify your SSD. If it is, for instance, disk 1, enter "Select disk 1". Then enter "list partitions" and it will list the existing partitions on that SSD (or say that there are none, if the SSD is new or blank). If it lists a partition, enter "delete partition" and it will acknowledge the deletion. Then, for example, enter "create partition primary align=1024 size=90000" to create a 90GB partition. Diskpart should acknowlege the creation of your partition, and you're done. You're ready to install XP on that partition, including formatting. (The reason for using diskpart with Windows 7 is that Windows 7 OS Disk Management will include an extra header partition peculiar to Windows 7, and botch an XP installation). I use a little tool called AlignScript/SSDalign after the fact, to verify that the partition is properly aligned.1 point

I'm still on WinXP, so I've also compiled openssl-x86-v1.1.1a_legacy.7z on WinXP. https://github.com/openssl/openssl/blob/master/crypto/rand/rand_win.c#L22: # if defined(_MSC_VER) && defined(_WIN32_WINNT) && _WIN32_WINNT >= 0x0601 With WIN32_WINNT being 0x0501 this should return false, should it not?1 point

No wonder. HD 5500 is Broadwell-U. This tread title says Ivy Bridge (so, 3rd gen). Broadwell-U is 5th gen. What did you expect?1 point

Nostalgic =/= Practical There’s no practical use for such a program these days. Longhorn is a dead platform; a beta of an OS which was completed in November 2006, Windows Vista. Therefore, no one is using it anymore these days, meaning the demand for the software you’re requesting is no longer there. If you like the look/UI of Longhorn (which is the only reason I can think of as to why one would want to use it these days), the best thing to do would be to install Windows Vista or 7 and apply a third party custom theme to make it look like Longhorn; there are several available on sites like DeviantArt.1 point

Because what you are asking for is a program of such big complexity, that there is no chance someone will just make it for a newcommer. And probably for any other reason as well, because there is little use for it, creation would take hundreds of working hours for experienced programmers, and maintenance and bug report would take even more. Secondly, there is no argumentation in your post how it could become any "common wealth". Where your request starts from "I want a program", rsponse "Find someone who can make it and pay him" might not be kind, but is plain logical.1 point
