  2. I have a collection of Post-EOL updates for XP 64 that I could also send you. These were excellent for extending life to XP x64 Edition until July 2015. :)

  3. Hope they get it fixed soon or that windows would just bring back the option altogether

  4. Yes, with NM28XP Browser, I see this same behavior for that same extension (the 'Red T' Google Translator one). It 'fails' and changes to a 'Green T' on any attempt to 'mark and translate' selected text. I suppose that I should be thankful that the FULL PAGE translation aspect of it is still working for me here.

  9. In the basilisk, palemoon and mypal - from now on I do not want to run the google translator extension. It stopped working, The icon turns green and does not translate. Is there any addition, what changes the text and do not pop up nasty translation windows?

  10. XP doesn't care about any updates Autenticodes be them SHA-1 or SHA-2. As for whether they'll remove all updates from their servers, maybe. They just did that to the (on-demand) hotfixes, didn't they? But I doubt they'll do it right after EoS... And anyway April 9, 2019 is the last patch Tuesday for POSReady 2009, which means the 1st month without updates should be the following one (.ie.: May). Whatever MS does or doesn't do, it won't cause XP to be impossible to update, anyway. So let's let people get back on-topic, in this thread.

  12. it depends on what you compare the Basilisk to. it's faster than Firefox 52 for sure but it's kind of a snail compared to the other versions that are not compatible with XP it's not just a matter of extra work but the programs used by developers get renewed and do not support XP anymore that makes it impossible to code anything for XP.

  13. I agree!! So long as this system is working I see no logical reason to just junk it. Just be cautious is all. There still (and will be for a while) are good software alternatives to use with XP. Just stick with New Moon and you can't go wrong. Even if I do get hacked, Acronis True Image will get me back to right where I am as I write this posting. Mainly your IP is all and avoid shady sites and you should be fine. Thanks you roytam1 for your hard work and worry not about haters!

  15. I don't want to appear picky....but where did incompetence get called a bug.... Had the same from Bitdefender support....I installed the latest release and all of a sudden I couldn't access my "Home Network"...?! Turned off Bitdefender and had access again...got in contact with support and they said they have a bug in the fire wall that will be fixed soon with an update.... I then contacted sales and demanded my money back.....Releasing a version with a firewall bug?! But I see the same with Windows 10....instead of improving they get worse....why the desperate hurry to release a new verison all the time....concentrate on fixing the original before pushing new crap on us....because of the amount of computers that I am getting with Windows 10 and serious problems with hardware etc....I have warned all my customers about Microsoft and their insistance to update hardware drivers...Yes, we can turn it off but as you all know Microsoft activate it again with a new update....So, my customeres are left with "grin and bear it" Look at this crap... Windows Insider Program Explore the future of Windows You’ll be amazed at just how many highlights our engineers have already packed into this early Windows 10 Insider Preview build (19H1), including a more powerful Windows Search, a beautiful new design update, and more.1 PREVIEW FEATURES > Link now working...
