it looks like someone has tryed to debug a driver without having any knowledge debugging is not something you can do without any knowledge its not easy stuff either for example its a lot of math, its not like a script language a bare minimum to start with would be to know assembly https://www.ic.unicamp.br/~pannain/mc404/aulas/pdfs/Art Of Intel x86 Assembly.pdf but that´s the bare minimum its not stuff you can just do, like lifting a few weights around, or trying some drivers or some different versions, maybe putting a few different hardware types into a pc you litterally trying to make a own CPU - and not just putting it into a computer no you making it this time a-z

I did already is what im saying, my only guess why it would work for you apparently is it's probably looking at our IP addresses... germany for you... united states for me.. and that it's not being as strict for other countries. actually matter of fact, when i click (on the browser, seperent, new moon, or mypal) -- View => Page Style => No Style - it actually shows my physical IP address when i look through it all (on the login page i mentioned before too... when i click the login link at the top of the homepage...it automatically attaches this "locale EN US" to the end of the URL -- even if i just directly go to the login page (not homepage), it still attaches a US (united states) thing to the link every time. :| i dont want to dare attempt doing any sort of VPN cause i dont want to risk losing my account or getting more problems for faking my IP. -
Version 20250823: Now the file exchange of nss.dll and xul.dll (20250531) causes an error. It is also necessary to replace omni.ja. Omni.ja (20250809) should work. That's tested with Serpent 55. Such updates are increasingly minor.

Hello kuja killer, Please use the search function of XP and search for "moon". Then erase (with a security tool like ERASER.exe) everything that has to do with NM28. -
2 false positives.

Hey everyone, I’m trying to debug the disk.sys from Windows Vista on XP/2000. I’m not good in driver debugging, and even in XP though all the functions seem to exist, the driver doesn’t work. Maybe someone can understand what’s going wrong or point me in the right direction. windbg log : https://pastebin.com/zaKXc3ZM

... My local AV solution, after a Custom Scan of the executable (yt-dlp.exe), found NO threats (red rectangle in Greek, haven't had time to consult VT) :

It is Python 3.10.18 based, but Dropbox notified me via mail that link sharing was temporarily disabled (did they detect a possible virus???). I have now enabled sharing again and password protected my file. yt-dlp_Vista_x86.7z (password: 987123). ; is that py3.9-based (so will get deprecated in October ) ? Can you at least upload manually to GitHub, where it'll be more visible and with a permanent link? Thanks ... (OT: I have serious issues with my landline since Aug 19th, my tel. number isn't working at all and my ADSL+ internet access is quite fickle; my ISP don't really know what's goin' on, they said I have to give them time until Sep 3rd (!) for them to identify the true nature of the problems ... ) Sometime later today, hopefully, I'll further comment on your previous post ...

There is also an interview with David Cutler on Youtube that tells why XP is such a mess.

Hi. Can you fix Reverse Google Image Search in NM28XP with modifing UserAgent to actual Firefox browser? When image is uploaded - nothing happens, just shows animated image searching process on logo. -
Can the old navigation pane be brought back?

kuja killer replied to roytam1's topic in Browsers working on Older NT-Family OSes
sorry about that, i did. i got rid of both the program files folder, and the one in the C:\Documents and Settings\blah blah whatever it was where the profile folder is stored - i even did it 2 seperate times and didnt make a difference. It still showed a "please wait for secutity challenge" with a large spinning circle animation for about 4 or 5 seconds (i wasn't counting but it was a long delay) after logging in with my email/password.... and..you know the rest in all these attempts by the way, i both tried the "accept all cookies" from the main homepage when that window appears at the bottom of screen... i also tried "ignore cookies" ...and i also tried just not clicking any option at all, so 3 different methods, and none of them ever mattered. it's really fustrating/annoying that i have to go into the browser settings manually, type "paypal" in the search bar for the cookies, and then "remove all" just to try again every time, cause it's the only way to reset the "blocked" message other than the whole deleting profile and program files folder also just 1 other note, i know for 100% certain i had that like "trusted device" turned on for serpent browser many years ago, where the first time you login in through a browser, it asks if you want to set "trusted device" or something. so you dont have to login most of the time, it worked out just fine for things like ebay and other sites for years on end - where it's like "hello [name], we recognize you so do not have to login", so i mean i didnt change or do anything different at all - when this crap started in these past few weeks. -

Hello kuja killer, You write: "Still didnt work for me. I deleted the whole profile folder for the New Moon 28 latest version..." Use the search function of your OS and radically erase all PM28 files (do not forget to backup your bookmarks etc.). Then make a complete new intallation as if NM28 had never been installed on your XP. With this "virgin" unadultarated (no modifications by you) NM28 try the PayPal sign-in. -

Yea, I love this tool - works on Win95 and add right-click context menu KillCopy to... & KillMove to... I use a Standart skin because I don't like Default Thanks to this, I have context menu copy/move options because the bottom registry entries work only in Win98 and newer: REGEDIT4 [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\AllFilesystemObjects\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers] [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\AllFilesystemObjects\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers\Copy to] @="{C2FBB631-2971-11D1-A18C-00C04FD75D13}" [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\AllFilesystemObjects\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers\Move to] @="{C2FBB630-2971-11D1-A18C-00C04FD75D13}"

In Dev and Canary builds, the Win+Shift+T shortcut for quick text extraction in the Snipping Tool doesn't work when StartAllBack is enabled.

Still didnt work for me. I deleted the whole profile folder for the New Moon 28 latest version, and opened it, but first i only had to open the settings, and go to network tab and select "no proxy" because it's set to "use proxy -- localhost 127.0.0.1" or something like that by default with that browser no clue why.. it makes nothing load period until setting it to "no proxy" - thats the only single thing i ever touched. then go to paypal... i got the email/pass form first which is good... but try to login and it says "please wait while we load the security challenge" ...then the stupid mouse sliding (or hearing the audio numbers) thing appears... try it like usual... and still "cant load security challenge, blocked". I never once saw any "enable javascript/disable ad blocker" message by the way. -
Does Windows Update still work on Windows 7?
Troy Haliwell replied to surrodox2001's topic in Windows 7
Given I put in a new NVME in my Windows 7 box, I can confirm after running Simplex update and then launching Windows Update, yes it still works. (as of 23 August 2025). -

NM 28 https://o.rthost.win/palemoon/palemoon-28.10.7a1.win32-git-20250823-d849524bd-uxp-e5ea29554a-xpmod-sse.7z St52 https://o.rthost.win/basilisk/basilisk52-g4.8.win32-git-20250823-3219d2d-uxp-e5ea29554a-xpmod-ia32.7z ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Re: PayPal sign-in Hello kuja killer, I had exactly the same problems you described with the versions of St52 and NM28 when trying to sign in my PayPal account - it did not work anymore. After completely erasing NM28 (git-20250809) and replacing it with the latest NM28 version (see above) with a new profile without personal settings, add-ons and extensions or any other modifications, the access to my PayPal account finally worked again. But that same procedure which worked for NM28 did not work for St52 - neither St52 (git-20250809) nor the latest above version of St52. When trying to sign in my PayPal account I get the following message: Please enable JS and disable any ad blocker As a consequence I additionally disabled hosts file and DNS server ad blocking (NM28 gave no problems in this respect). Result: Please enable JS and disable any ad blocker Are there any ideas why the latest versions of NM28 and St52 work so differently with the PayPal sign-in ? -
there CsrNewThread is just a redirection to NtRegisterThreadTerminatePort if thats all you just have to use NtRegisterThreadTerminatePort, xp has that function

no it do something different: https://doxygen.reactos.org/d6/dad/sdk_2include_2reactos_2subsys_2csr_2csr_8h.html#a37b4505763dfb64bf489339460ae04e8

Csr functions useally came from csrsrv.dll i think CsrNewThread is just a different name for CsrCreateThread those are often very similiar to CreateThread or NtCreateThread it would be about looking its parameters and purpose for exact detail, but xp has many of these functions https://www.geoffchappell.com/studies/windows/win32/csrsrv/api/process/thread.htm
