  1. Wonder could we see another hard block and/or API compatiblity issue?
  2. I'm curious to what's the error popup? Is it wrt to a missing library or it's a program generated soft block?
  3. Looks like the developers are removing support in their latest versions of Flash-using software pretty swiftly, as Adove says it's a security issue if you left them in.
  4. Well that OS update has already pushed out, see my post above,
  5. Also, not related to Windows XP but related to flash support discontinument: MS will remove Adobe Flash (ActiveX version only from what I've heard) from Windows 8.1 and 10 system via an update (If you wanna know what update it is, it's KB4577586): https://blogs.windows.com/msedgedev/2020/09/04/update-adobe-flash-end-support/ And even if you don't install that update, it'll integrate that into security updates later in the summer. Now that raises a question, will MS will do the flash removal thingy for the older operating systems just for the sake of it? (Most importantly (at least for me), will MS do it for Windows 7 versions that still in support (namely the POSready and ESU versions)?)
  6. What Autodesk? DYM AutoCad, Maya, 3ds max or what else?
  7. I wonder what's the modifications behind this installer
  8. So do you mean that programs that uses IE's rendering engine to render pages that doesn't work well in IE8 but works fine in IE11? That wouldn't work either because the entire IE11 needs a newer version of Windows to work (AFAIK Win7+), including the "Trident" rendering engine.
  9. You'd better off using some kind of palemoon derivative like mypal for xp browsing anyway since even ie11 is deprecated nowadays
  10. I think you can just run XP installer off 98 and select 'clean installation' if that's available. Make sure you move the CD files off that partition first before you do it. (I haven't done a XP installation from windows for a long time, so some of this maybe incorrect)
  11. With 32bit windows, you can still run your DOS and Windows 3 applications just like you did on XP, with perhaps some limitations in regards to UAC and permissions. With 64bit windows, you can use otvdm for win3 applications, or perhaps dosbox or vdos for dos applications, but i prefer dosbox anyway
  12. I'm curious whats the first version to sync with iPhone 12? If that's the first, then tough luck, you cant use IP12 with Win7
  13. Add VirtualMIDISynth to discontinued support list: https://coolsoft.altervista.org/en/virtualmidisynth#versionhistory Last version for XP/Vista is 2.9.3 released in 2020-07-18, installer here https://coolsoft.altervista.org/download/CoolSoft_VirtualMIDISynth_2.9.3.exe
  14. Add VirtualMIDISynth to discontinued support list: https://coolsoft.altervista.org/en/virtualmidisynth#versionhistory Last version for XP/Vista is 2.9.3 released in 2020-07-18, installer here https://coolsoft.altervista.org/download/CoolSoft_VirtualMIDISynth_2.9.3.exe
  15. Best: Windows XP and 7 Worst: Windows ME and 8 I'm stretched between Best and Worst for Windows NT 3.x-4 since they've historical value but quite bare bones in terms of available software.
