My Browser Builds (Part 5)

to anton12 - im not making it up i did fully remove every trace of it, on several occasions. i tried both the "sse" version you did, the non sse and the ia32 - although i have no idea what the difference is between them all. But it's not ever making any difference. :'( - Today

Strange result when runnig batch script from Windows 10 schedule
Tripredacus replied to Sfor's topic in Windows 10
First the main difference is that you are actually executing the script in two different ways. Your manual methods are being run as an interactive user, likely in Session 1. Scheduler is likely running the script via a security context and also could be running in Session 0. If the presumption is that scheduler is running the script under a security context, I am not able to find out definitively why this type of behaviour may occur other than the obvious reason that a security context has different privileges than an interactive user. Wget may operate differently. There is a debug option you can try adding to your script like so: wget -t1 --debug http://localhost Also you can see about setting the scheduler to run it as a specific user. You can also try using a different tool to see if it behaves differently such as curl: curl --max-time 10 --retry 0 http://localhost -
My Browser Builds (Part 5)

There seems to be a newly developed problem with mab.to site (my air bridge). When I try to upload files, it just stays at "Loading" but doesn't actually show the link (which would be the whole point so they could accessed elsewhere), in the lates 25-08-21 version of Serpent 52.9. -
Sfor started following Strange result when runnig batch script from Windows 10 schedule
-
I encountered strange result when runnig batch script from Windows 10 schedule. The script uses WGET.EXE to connect to check if a HTTP service is running on the same computer (127.0.0.1). If thre is a problem an Email is sent and the service gets restarted. The WGET output is redirected to a file, so all operations are visible there. When running from command line or explorer there is just one connection in the HTTP service log, as it should be. But if the same script was executed from Windows 10 schedule, there are multiple connections visible in the log, from the same source at the same time. All connections are done in 1 to 2 s time frame. I did test the idea with using a reverse proxy server co connect to the same service. The proxy log shows the same multiple connections effect. So, it is not a problem of the HTTP service. There are multiple connections from the same address, because the proxy logged them, as well. The output file from WGET shows just one connection. The command line has a -t1 switch to limit the attempted connections to just one. The -o switch redirects output to a text file, and there is just one connection attempt in the output file. I'm stuck. I do not know how to crack this behavior. I wish to know what is going on here.

Hello kuja killer, You said: "I did already is what im saying, my only guess why it would work for you apparently is it's probably looking at our IP addresses... germany for you... united states for me.. and that it's not being as strict for other countries." May I quote myself from a previous post: " I had exactly the same problems you described with the versions of St52 and NM28 when trying to sign in my PayPal account - it did not work anymore. After completely erasing NM28 (git-20250809) and replacing it with the latest NM28 version (see above) with a new profile without personal settings, add-ons and extensions or any other modifications, the access to my PayPal account finally worked again." You see, NM28 (https://o.rthost.win/palemoon/palemoon-28.10.7a1.win32-git-20250809-d849524bd-uxp-48ebf49357-xpmod-sse.7z) did not work for me and it was not an IP address problem. Tabula rasa plus the latest NM28 did the trick. - Yesterday

Wow! Then in just 3 days they've pushed some pretty significant changes. One of which is "[ie/youtube] Replace ios with tv_simply in default clients (#14123)", which is a real pity, because I prefer the ios HLS formats. They've now flagged these formats as requiring a PO token, which (as far as I can tell) isn't true, because the 2025.08.20.232911 version I was using still works just fine for these formats. Now I have to snatch a PO token for these to work.

After having downloaded both of them however it's actually 242kbps (H.264) and 488kbps (VP9). I normally always watch the VP9 stream, so I wasn't expecting such a big difference. P.s. How lame I even have to use Microsoft Edge (my alternative browser) to create this post, because with Palemoon after having added the codeblock the window won't disappear for me to continue typing.

I confirm that this behavior has been observed in the latest NewMoon. By the way, does anyone have the "Speedometer 2.0" test fully completed in Roytam1 browsers (in any of them)? https://browserbench.org/Speedometer2.0/ I have this test fully passed in Mypal 29.3.0 from Feodor2, whereas in any browser from Roytam1 the test is not fully passed, for example, in IceApe (any version) somewhere at the very end the browser freezes and hangs in memory until you close it via Process Exlorer. Is it just me or is this the standard behavior? Sorry if this question has already been solved\discussed.

Why not just remove objects at the top (Home, Gallery and OneDrive) and pin OneDrive to either Quick Access space or the one at the bottom?

Video authors on the web often insert short clips from a feature film or a television programme, for example, the StarTrek guy facepalming, or a businessman saying to another that "plastics is the future" or the line saying "a few moments later" in a strange accent. This also sometimes happens on Facebook where a gif is added to the comments section. Sometimes the same clip is reused, but often we see new ones never before picked by this author. How do they find these? Surely they can't watch a whole film to find them while also producing their video in a timely fashion. Does there exist a database of these that they search?

Hello MSFN, I had a similar topic a year or two ago, but now I am seeking software like keynote and goldensection notes. Any freeware suggestions similar to treepad would be nice. I enjoy goldensection notes, but the file sizes are quick to become bloated compared to the keynote app. The problem with keynote is that the app lacks tables and various features. Thank you for your time.

Hmm, it have tried to remove drivers and services, but only end up with inaccessible boot device, its strange because its 1 partition MBR install, i have tried all bcd fixes, but its still there.. Im not even sure, if this error happens before or after 0xc00021a.. and again not ntbootlog, it really seems that starting Windows 10 procedure is rotten by design.. once its broke, there is very hard to debug it.
-
no, CsrNewThread also passes an internal variable to NtRegisterThreadTerminatePort. so you can't just use NtRegisterThreadTerminatePort to replace CsrNewThread

it looks like someone has tryed to debug a driver without having any knowledge debugging is not something you can do without any knowledge its not easy stuff either for example its a lot of math, its not like a script language a bare minimum to start with would be to know assembly https://www.ic.unicamp.br/~pannain/mc404/aulas/pdfs/Art Of Intel x86 Assembly.pdf but that´s the bare minimum its not stuff you can just do, like lifting a few weights around, or trying some drivers or some different versions, maybe putting a few different hardware types into a pc you litterally trying to make a own CPU - and not just putting it into a computer no you making it this time a-z

I did already is what im saying, my only guess why it would work for you apparently is it's probably looking at our IP addresses... germany for you... united states for me.. and that it's not being as strict for other countries. actually matter of fact, when i click (on the browser, seperent, new moon, or mypal) -- View => Page Style => No Style - it actually shows my physical IP address when i look through it all (on the login page i mentioned before too... when i click the login link at the top of the homepage...it automatically attaches this "locale EN US" to the end of the URL -- even if i just directly go to the login page (not homepage), it still attaches a US (united states) thing to the link every time. :| i dont want to dare attempt doing any sort of VPN cause i dont want to risk losing my account or getting more problems for faking my IP. -
Version 20250823: Now the file exchange of nss.dll and xul.dll (20250531) causes an error. It is also necessary to replace omni.ja. Omni.ja (20250809) should work. That's tested with Serpent 55. Such updates are increasingly minor.
