There appears to be no documentation supplied for Mailnews, so I hope someone can help me with Gmail and Microsoft Outlook.com mail.  They both require OAuth2 authentification, but only Gmail can connect to the server if I use IMAP.  When I use POP3 as the incoming Gmail server I receive this message:

OAuth2 does not appear to work with Microsoft Outlook.com mail and it produces the login window uploaded here.  I tried enabling 2 step authentification and generating an app password to be used as a normal password, but I receive an error message saying "Username and password not accepted".  Does this mean that Mailnews needs to be registered with Microsoft for OAuth2 to work?

I can't imagine that pref. doing anything at all if multiprocess move is disabled, so I strongly suspect either it is your imagination, or else you do actually have multiprocess mode enabled. The pref. you cited is not the only way to enable it:

You can check whether multiprocess mode is, in fact, enabled by clicking Help / Troubleshooting and scrolling down to "Multiprocess Windows." If the first number is anything but zero, it's enabled.

Already done: https://github.com/JustOff/moon-tester-tool (by the author of the Classic Add-Ons Archive himself) and https://github.com/Nebula-Mechanica/serpent-tester-tool. But to be fair, these extensions are themselves several years old, so they probably need to be updated. ... Any volunteers? @AstroSkipper?

Where do the SSL certificates in New Moon come from? I have never had to add missing certificates in this browser unlike other old browsers.

it uses same cert store as latest firefox's security library (NSS) so it has latest certs.

You can check the bug with video playback in Serpent?  When you change the speed of video playback, both up and down, the CPU load increases 3-4 times.

Do you know about it, can you fix it ?

I haven't used these extensions for years. All modifications are done by me manually inside extensions themselves if they need to be fixed. And that means I am not interested in these two extensions at all. They are of no use to me.

I have tried Interlink, MailNews and Epyrus.  None of them can work with OAuth2 (at least for Outlook).  I've since installed Betterbird, back in the spring.  All good now

I assume that @Zorba the Geek is looking for a client targeting Windows XP. However, your recommended email client Betterbird requires at least Windows 7 64bit.

(weird how you forget that this is meant to target XP, once you leave it behind.  I'm more of the mindset that says, "Can it at least run on Windows 7 or 8", as that's a challenge now)

This thread is about @roytam1's browsers targeting legacy OSes. And that means even browsers under Windows 7 and Windows 8 as they are also legacy in the meanwhile. But I think @Zorba the Geek is looking for a solution under Windows XP.
