There is an "official" Pale Moon 26.5.0 x64 build, but most sites cannot make a secure connection and showing this message "This Connection is Untrusted". no intention making x64 builds for versions before 27.
Zorba the Geek Posted Saturday at 07:54 PM Posted Saturday at 07:54 PM (edited) There appears to be no documentation supplied for Mailnews, so I hope someone can help me with Gmail and Microsoft Outlook.com mail. They both require OAuth2 authentification, but only Gmail can connect to the server if I use IMAP. When I use POP3 as the incoming Gmail server I receive this message: Quote The STAT command did not succeed. Error getting message number and sizes. Mail server pop.gmail.com responded: invalid SASL argument cdcc0902adbc2-3b63b1f8890mb165044463d76 OAuth2 does not appear to work with Microsoft Outlook.com mail and it produces the login window uploaded here. I tried enabling 2 step authentification and generating an app password to be used as a normal password, but I receive an error message saying "Username and password not accepted". Does this mean that Mailnews needs to be registered with Microsoft for OAuth2 to work? Edited Saturday at 08:18 PM by Zorba the Geek

Is it just my imagination, or do websites load better and Serpent 52.9 uses memory less wastefully and actually recovers it after closing memory-hog sites? I can't imagine that pref. doing anything at all if multiprocess move is disabled, so I strongly suspect either it is your imagination, or else you do actually have multiprocess mode enabled. The pref. you cited is not the only way to enable it: Quote You can force "multiprocess mode" (aka "e10s") in ... @roytam1's Serpent 52 and 55 by creating the Boolean preference browser.tabs.remote.force-enable and setting it to true. This splits ... Serpent into two processes. To allow more than two, set dom.ipc.processCount to a value greater than one (i.e., setting it to 2 allows 3 processes, etc.) ... [W]ith ... some other FF forks on XP (confirmed with Serpent 55), you can instead ... toggle browser.tabs.remote.autostart from false to true, and if necessary (due to add-ons flagged as incompatible with e10s), toggle extensions.e10sBlocksEnabling from true to false. You can check whether multiprocess mode is, in fact, enabled by clicking Help / Troubleshooting and scrolling down to "Multiprocess Windows." If the first number is anything but zero, it's enabled. Extensions from realityripple.com, addons.palemoon.org. Or make an extension that disables checking. But to be fair, these extensions are themselves several years old, so they probably need to be updated. ... Any volunteers? @AstroSkipper? 2

j7n Posted Sunday at 09:42 AM Posted Sunday at 09:42 AM Where do the SSL certificates in New Moon come from? I have never had to add missing certificates in this browser unlike other old browsers.

Goodwin Posted Sunday at 03:47 PM Posted Sunday at 03:47 PM (edited) roytam1 You can check the bug with video playback in Serpent? When you change the speed of video playback, both up and down, the CPU load increases 3-4 times. Do you know about it, can you fix it ? 9 hours ago, Mathwiz said: serpent-tester-tool. it works, but I specifically wrote Quote Installed in the usual way, not through a special mode selected in the extension itself. . Because I know how inconvenient moon-tester-tool works. I didn't know about serpent-tester-tool though. But it's silly to use such crutches when you can remove the nonsense with checks. All modifications are done by me manually inside extensions themselves if they need to be fixed. And that means I am not interested in these two extensions at all. They are of no use to me. 1

However, your recommended email client Betterbird requires at least Windows 7 64bit.

I'm more of the mindset that says, "Can it at least run on Windows 7 or 8", as that's a challenge now) 1

And that means even browsers under Windows 7 and Windows 8 as they are also legacy in the meanwhile. But I think @Zorba the Geek is looking for a solution under Windows XP.
