Dave-H Posted October 7, 2024 Posted October 7, 2024 The Sourceforge site seems to work fine here, in 360Chrome, Supermium, and Thorium. At least the homepage looks fine. What are you actually trying to do there?
we3fan Posted October 8, 2024 Posted October 8, 2024 I also have problems now with https://sourceforge.net/ in 360Chrome. I tried with few 360Chrome versions, unpack .zip > start browser > open https://sourceforge.net/ (no extensions, nothing) 360ChromePortable_13.5.1030_Redux_1_ungoogled_MSFN.zip 360ChromePortable_13.5.2022_rebuild_1_ungoogled_MSFN.zip 360ChromePortable_13.5.2022_rebuild_3_regular_MSFN.zip 360ChromePortable_13.5.2022_rebuild_3_ungoogled_MSFN.zip I just tried all of these and I still can't pass the https://sourceforge.net/ "human" verification hmm. I can pass the https://sourceforge.net/ "human" verification in Serpent 52 (2023 build) and Supermium 122. I still use 360Chrome on XP for most things, runs OK on my system, I think sourceforge.net is important site for old software, and would like to know how we can solve this sourceforge.net "human" verification problem?
Dave-H Posted October 8, 2024 Posted October 8, 2024 Strange, as I said, it works fine for me with 360Chrome 13.5.2036.0. And I've changed the UA string from the default too, which I think was speculated might be part of the problem.
NotHereToPlayGames Posted October 8, 2024 Author Posted October 8, 2024 Dave-H -- Are you testing in Win10 or WinXP? If this is an XP-Only issue, then I would point to "modern SSL" which requires some hoops to be jumped through for XP.

Unpacked a clean browser and opened the link: https://sourceforge.net/ on XP. Result: 360chrome v13.5.1030.0 360chrome v13.5.2022.0 Maybe it's something with DNS? Edited October 8, 2024 by xjani
NotHereToPlayGames Posted October 8, 2024 Author Posted October 8, 2024 Perhaps we are misunderstanding the intent here. If we are talking about Cloudflare FAILING, then you have to click the Verify you are human checkbox and ONLY THEN does 360Chrome get you to sourceforge.net because the human-check PASSES when you CLICK THE CHECKBOX. If we are talking about NOT LANDING on the Cloudflare human-test page at all, then that is something entirely different. Also, note that you have a RED PADLOCK for the https in the address bar. In Win10, the padlock is GREEN and the certificate is ELLIPTIC CURVE, an algorithm that XP cannot natively do. Though I believe hoops can be jumped through to add this ability (I myself will not be entertaining the how-to).
xjani Posted October 8, 2024 Posted October 8, 2024 (edited) When you press "Check if you are human" nothing changes, it doesn't show the recaptcha, the page goes back to the beginning again, as you can see in the image. We are here: "Browsers running on older NT family operating systems" and I am using XP, so you can see a certificate error, maybe it is the fault of Cloudflare problems. The funny thing is that some older browsers work ok, for example: mypal-68.13.8 Edited October 8, 2024 by xjani

Like Dave and me, you shouldn't be seeing the "human" verification at all, it most likely means they don't appreciate your IP. You and I, we have different errors shown. 2

Dave-H Posted October 9, 2024 Posted October 9, 2024 I'm not seeing any verification. This is what I'm seeing - The certificate appears to be faulty, but everything still seems to work.
we3fan Posted October 9, 2024 Posted October 9, 2024 Thanks @Dave-H, which UA string you use now? @NotHereToPlayGames, Can you point me to the XP "modern SSL" hoops? I would like to save the info for later, until we can figure out what is the cause for this human verification issue, because apparently it doesn't happen for everyone.
AstroSkipper Posted October 9, 2024 Posted October 9, 2024 Due to the certificate issues all 360Chrome browsers suffer from time and time again, I would suggest to try ProxHTTPSProxy TLS 1.3. 2
