I would not be too hopeful for that, as also base Firefox 52 engine had massive memory issues in the past.. 

 

So it's "a defect by design" 

 

What seems to help a bit is fully disabling incremental garbage collection

Doesn't look like this one can be polyfilled.  But nor would I call it a "mainstream" function.  At least with it only being CSS, it doesn't really kill older web browsers, just makes the web sites that use this rarity look quite ugly.

Perhaps I spoke too soon.

With this being "cloudfront", I wonder if that increases the odds of this "propagating" the 'net the same way that "Googleisms" propagate the 'net?

And with 3,954 of just the ONE CSS Level 4 :not with a selector list that I searched for, something tells me that a pollyfill would slow this page down quite a bit.

I haven't experimented with "replacing" all of these via Proxomitron and seeing if the fix is "that easy".

There is also another flag with incremental gc - I think it was something with dom

Will every new version of the K-Meleon browser now require the creation of a new profile? Another version already what does not take over the search settings from the address bar, which is again the same as indicated here: 

From scratch you have to create another clean profile and set up everything from scratch, because after writing the previous version of the program loses the new version's ability to search from the bar via the duckduckgo search engine. Can't it be permanently fixed? So that every time we want to overwrite a newer version, the search capability is not lost. If it can't be permanently fixed at the moment, in which file are the user settings saved, so that with each new profile you don't have to set everything up again. And before setting up a new profile, transfer yourself the file with the settings of the old profile.

Does not matter, pages like Outlook are instant Pale Moon killers - no matter what you have activated or deactivated. Open and close them one time and you can restart the browser.

Twitch is another offender, but slows down the browser a bit.... slower at least, not in an instant unlike Outlook. Only "workaround" which helps: Install portable, open the browser a second time so an additional profile is created, copy over your cookies and password files (and history perhaps if you need it and session) and use that alternative profile for heavy pages.

That way your workflow on the "normal" Pale Moon portable stays undisturbed.
