So the search for updates in WUv4 works thanks @WinFX again only unfortunately results.asp is missing because it was not archived properly. It redirects to splash.asp?page=3. That means we can't view or install the updates. I think that we will find a solution for this problem. The Update Catalog is the next project. Here some screenshots: is proxhttpsproxy v1.3a required to get this working? i see https connections but does this work without it? if not, then are there plans to get this working without the proxy? It also works without a proxy. I just opened it so I don't get a certificate warning.

For now, you'll have to host it by yourself (following the guides), because a server is too expensive.

WULover
We're the 28th, so in 3 days . But anyway, this is going offtopic. THE WINDOWS UPDATE V3 NEWS I got the new inventory system to work on Microsoft Windows 98 Second Edition (French), and @WinFX is working to get it to work on other Microsoft Windows Operating Systems. With this new inventory system, we can updates until 2002, as opposed to October 2000 with the old one. You can tell us the systems you want to restore first. In my opinion, and it's because of version 3 WU, i would go on Windows 95 and NT 4 (Server and Workstation versions). Also you said about getting new inventory system until 2002. Windows 95 was supported until December 31st 2001. (it's a shame that it wasn't long supported) So this does mean that it can recognize all W95 updates with this updated inventory system that has surpassed W95 EOL. You should especially focus on getting this working on 95 with different IE browser versions. (on some browsers it does work, on some it doesn't) Edited December 31, 2022 by Dušan Vićić
WULover
We currently only can get it to work on w98. Also, this doesn't mean we can get all updates for 95. A lot of files are missing.

NormanCyprien
Hello everyone, since there is 52 pages about this topic, can someone summarize what was found about Windows Update V3, V4 and V5? Also, is there a tutorial about how to restore Windows Updates on Windows 9x? (there are some files here and there but nobody explain how to use them)
WULover
Nothing is currently complete, we won't make a guide until Windows Update is fully working
