VxKex has just been updated to version 1.1 and now supports the latest browser versions! (Firefox, Chrome)

I downloaded skype current version in win7 and did check in contectual menu open with vxkex -on installer, software run without further tweaks, chat works ok.

Edit: PHP 8.3.4 load good in preliminar testing

As you can see, it is not only Windows 7, but also Windows 8/8.1 as well.

I think you should already write games that support Win 7, because it doesn't support most of the newer games. :(

No. Star Wars: Battlefront is a series of classic games that was launched in 2004.  (twenty years ago!)

In 2024 they just added an artificial block to fend off windows 7 and below.

That's why it makes sense to post here.

Yes indeed, it's an update of an old game. And why would it need DX12 with those graphics? spacer.png

To sell more DX12 graphic cards? I dunno. What I'm sure of, it doesn't need DX12 with those graphics, agree. DX9, at best.

It's the latest "gaming trend". They reissue old games with artificially bumped up reqs. Probably deserves a dedicated topic on how to deal with it. I don't know how many gamers we have here,

A bit surprised nobody asked this before, will Mortal Kombat 1 run on Win 7 PC?

If this is the the remake, then no. They hardcoded DX12 demands. Probably DXVK will do some good, but I never had a success with it on Windows 7.

Anyways, the game is not worth it, in my opinion. All old features are now paid.

Tempus Rail Requires Windows 10/11

Anyways, there is DXVK Windows 7 Fix to be able to play on Windows 7
