List of Windows 7+ software that Windows Vista Extended Kernel by @win32 allows to run.

I decided to create this temporary post, because @WinClient5270hasn't been online for a long time now and his main post is now quite outdated.

Special thanks to @WinClient5270 and everyone who contributed to this list.

Hello, I have "windows vista extended kernel" installed with all its files, but when I want to open an installer of any program it doesn't even open, even if I modify the osver.ini file, removing the "*" yes, portable programs work quite well like firefox 102 or chromium, but I want to fix that problem, does anyone have a patch or something?

360 Total Security (a full, non-pricy antivirus/security suite) works with full feature parity to windows 10 if osver.ini is set to 10 and version 1809.

WPS Office (a freemium equal substitute for Microsoft Office from the same 360 chinese company including pdf) works with all nt 10.0 features in the same way, albeit with some heavy bugs, including not being able to minimize without a crash (no documents are lost due to the automatic backup), but bugs stop if osver.ini is set to nt 6.1. AI assists and AI tools work even in a 64-bit pentium 4.

The 360 cloud storage works with no issues and can completely replace onedrive or google drive. Both programs work natively on vista as well but i'm not sure if with feature parity to 10.

I will rest so much easier knowing that extended kernel users have a Chinese alternative to Kaspersky.

I do use the paid version of this antivirus. Sincerely its not really a lot of concern to me but least i have a functional firewall and protection, but i do dearly understand the reasons for concern. Governments have a too wide surveillance apparatus nowadays around the world.

Oh, here's an alternative to Kaspersky. "Iranian engineers have managed to develop an antivirus..."

"...which can compete with foreign rivals..", "Iran introduces domestically-made antivirus...",

Seeing the date, I'd say it's pretty much Vista ex-kernel compatible.

Could you be a dear, try it on your Windows Vista (or XP) computer? I mean the computer where you run Kaspersky (daily).

Thank you.

Though the joke has become old enough to be not anymore funny (if it ever was), the Padvish antivirus has reportedly  been tested in 2017 (on Windows 10) by a German security institute and found rather effective against ransomware:

Oh, good to know! Unfortunately, Windows 10 is not relevant, so we wait while someone with Vista tests it and reports back to us. I hope it will be the one who has a huge experience with running Kaspersky daily, so we could make a fair comparison. Unfortunately, I'm not the one with Kaspersky on my PC, but @Vistapocalypse seems like the one, at least from what he writes.

What joke, jaclaz?
