Please read on: I have decided to get away from posting direct links to specific versions of Flash Player, because these Adobe links quickly become broken / disabled after the next one or two immediate updates. So I now use the generic links. It is fine to put links for specific versions, but it is important to recognize that people referring to these posts and attempting to download using these links in the future will be unsuccessful. So, our posts with direct links for specific versions well eventually break. For example, the direct links in this post by @Bersaglio no longer work: https://msfn.org/board/topic/174085-newest-adobe-flash-and-shockwave-and-java-too/?do=findComment&comment=1150533 Even the links for the relatively recent 29.0.0.171 release from May 2018 no longer work: http://fpdownload.adobe.com/get/flashplayer/pdc/29.0.0.171/install_flash_player_ppapi.exe http://fpdownload.adobe.com/get/flashplayer/pdc/29.0.0.171/install_flash_player.exe http://fpdownload.adobe.com/get/flashplayer/pdc/29.0.0.171/install_flash_player_ax.exe

IE ActiveX and NPAPI . These flash downloads can be confusing to me. I guess these newer downloads are still working with a Pentium M processor ... I show MMX, SSE and SSE2 with CPU-Z. ... Please read on: Most people are not even aware that each of the three types of flash player installers come in two different flavors: (i) one signed with sha256 (which XP considers invalid because it does not know how to authenticate, despite their being OK), which can be downloaded from the links you posted; (ii) another signed with sha1 (which XP does authenticate as OK), from the links @Bersaglio used to post and which I have posted this time, since he didn't. Those links change with every new version, but are easy to create by hand once the version number of the latest release is known. However both flavors of installers have the same payload, for each one of the three existing types of flash player. Now, those who find what I just said confusing or do not know what I'm actually talking about may as well ignore it totally, since it's just a daetail of little importance for most of us, except for those affected by supermegaueberparanoid (me included, in this case) tendencies, and want to validate the installers before use, without having to make use of a Vista+ machine just for that. That's all there is to it,

Your best bet is to download the older installers from Adobe's archive page: Archived Flash Player versions It's inconvenient because you have to download all of the installers for all operating systems, but it's better than nothing. It's not practical for me to archive all of these on my FTP, especially since Flash is still supported on XP. However, I did archive the installers for 19.0.0.245 on my FTP, because that's the final version that runs on XP SP2: http://sdfox7.com/xp/sp2/flash19/ I wanted to provide an update to my post from last year. It appears that the Flash Player installers are again functioning on XP SP2. Previously, the installers newer than 19.0.0.245 would silently close when attempting to run them. It must be related to SHA1 or SHA2. Adobe's solution last year was to simply update to XP SP3: https://forums.adobe.com/message/9346257#9346257

Mathwiz
30.0.0.154 seems to have an issue on FF 52.9. Adobe's "check Flash version" page shows this: RoyTam's Basilisk 52 for XP does the same thing, but IE 8 looks correct: Edit: Whoops, what happened to the images? bluebolt
On Chrome Portable 49 the version box popped up unreliably for many months, then went missing altogether for many months. I've had to right-click in the general area (where the box would normally be) in order to see the version number displayed. You can do the same with this new box (right click on "version information").

I use the legacy sites for my older Windows 95/98/2000 systems with Internet Explorer 5.0/Internet Explorer 5.5 and never experience any issues. --> On newer systems the above legacy links will revert/redirect to the standard https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/about/ !
