anton12 Posted May 14, 2023 Posted May 14, 2023 (edited) "I tried same options as you but it works fine X3. How about turn off (inactive) your security soft temporary ?" Hello Blackwingcat, thanks for your answer. I did as proposed by you: Firewall (Kerio) deactivated Virus scanner (Clamwin) deactivated The result is the same: SumatraPDF 3.1.2.0 won't work (start) with v3.1h And one more problem with v3.1h : KM76.4.7-Goanna-20230513 by RoyTam1 "K-Meleon.exe has generated errors and will be closed by Windows." I returned back to v3.0f (same options) and SumatraPDF 3.1.2.0 and KM76.4.7-Goanna-20230513 work fine again . Edited May 14, 2023 by anton12

I apologise for such a long delay. I was dragged out of it by some other stuff I didn't mention here. So, as you asked, I've reproduced the issue. The first 4 pictures are on the VM environment without applying KEx. The last 4 are after applying one with the following settings: MSVCRT NT6 Series COMCTL32 5.82 The rest of the settings are default. As you can see, on the first picture I can successfully connect to root\cimv2. It's after the KernelEx it gives me the "The stub received bad data" error. Please look into this issue. Edited May 23, 2023 by SkyKuker My apologies

Yes, it did! All of my problems have finally vanished! Thank you very much! Also, the WinSetupFromUSB finally works! No more of that nasty error ! Would be very nice if it was a prerequisite for installation of the KEx itself. UPD: It works only if you set the User Environment Variable to >XP (>5.1.2600) using the tool supplied with KEx (NNNT4NT5.EXE). Edited June 7, 2023 by SkyKuker WinSetupFromUSB configuration

ynopot Posted July 11, 2023 Posted July 11, 2023 (edited) Greetings. How to CORRECTLY install files with WLU extension? I know it can be unpacked by WinRAR. To install "Windows2000-KB935839-v31hM-x86-ENU.wlu" - i used: setup.cmd, then update\setup.exe, then NNN4NT5.exe and restarted the computer each time. It works. But is there a more correct way to install? I know about the existence of "wlupdate v1.5b", but I can't download it anywhere - all links are dead. Help )) Edited July 11, 2023 by ynopot
