Tripredacus Posted July 25, 2024 Posted July 25, 2024 Do not paste so much text into a reply, instead either make it as an attachment or post it onto another site like pastebin or host the attachment on a file share instead. But regarding the info you posted, Hardcoded Breakpoint shouldn't be in released software, so if the browser generated this message you have to go to the author to get it resolved.
JosefReisinger Posted July 26, 2024 Posted July 26, 2024 Thank you very much for your answer and insights, I posted it to the author in the mypal68 thread. Greetings, Joe
spaztron64 Posted August 20, 2024 Posted August 20, 2024 I've upgraded yesterday from v31 to v31l, and for some reason the machine now acts like it's domain joined and treats it's own computer name as an AD domain. As such, I can't log into any account, not even the local administrator (yes, I tried the .\ prefix). I should note that the machine was domain joined at some point for an RIS homelab, but it's been several months since I unjoined it and moved it back into the default WORKGROUP.

Fist off I want to thank the wonderful @blackwingcat for creating such a splendid project, it has truly breathed new life into this OS. Secondly, I want to thank the hero that is @windows2 for posting this video to the forums. I remember seeing this on Reddit, but I couldn't remember where. So coming across your post really helped me out massively with finally being able to setup and install the Extended Kernel. Without the video I may not have found out that I was still trying to install a much older version of the project, and would have still continued to get the same error that @spaztron64 Is currently having. This video truly helped me in so many ways. Now thirdly, I am wondering if @blackwingcat or anyone else, is planning on getting a working an mostly functional version of .NET Framework v4.5 working. I am wanting to get Discord installed on my DELL Latitude C840, reading to be used as a daily driver for a full fortnight. I have installed as much of the upgrades as I can think of that I also feel like they are not likely to nuke my system, and i have gotten really far. but I am really hoping that .NET Framework v4.5 might be able to get some more love now that it has been about a decade since @blackwingcat made a post on their website about their achievement with successfully installing it on their system. The blog write-up can be found here: http://blog.livedoor.jp/blackwingcat/archives/1707555.html They did however make these notes: "However, when I start a 4.5 compatible app, an error occurs." and this at the end of the article, "For now, it turns out that the core DLL has this many defective exports・ω・;" I find it curious that no further progress seems to have been made since at least the posting of this write-up back on September 10, 2012, and we are now in 2024 about to cross over into 2025. Is there any chance that the .NET Framework v4.5 compatibility progress will be picked up soon? The developers of Discord have stated that they are no longer going to be provide support for the x86 version of the desktop app, and I thought that now would be a great time to really make a lot of progress with being able to get Discord working on Windows 2k EX Kernel. I hope that this hasn't come across as too demanding, I often prefer to be very direct, it is one of the side effects of my ASD, and I honestly do not intend to be seen as being rude to anyone. I look forward to watching the continued progress and development of the Windows 2000 Extended Kernel, and hope that Discord will also be able to be made to work on Windows 2000. Thank you to all those who have stuck it out and hung in there, and taken the time to read my first post sorry for it being so long, I just had a lot going through my mind that I wanted to share. Thank you again. 1
JosefReisinger Posted December 9, 2024 Posted December 9, 2024 Hey There seems to be a regression bug in user32.dll v7170 from Exkernel 31lM. Older program Microsoft Money 2000 crashes on Mouse Action on omap in split half transactions, but also randomly in other circumstances.. This behavior (Access violation of memory with "read") cannot be reproduced when introducing old Exkernel user.dll v7167 into the Exkernel 31l System, nothing else changed. So, perhaps @blackwingcat could find a solution for this Greetings from Austria, Joe
Boomcrafter Posted January 23 Posted January 23 Hello @JosefReisinger I hope my question (and my spelling mistakes) don’t bother you but I saw that you had uploaded the German dll s for and outdated version of the extended verbal but the google drive stopped working so I wanted to ask if you still have them or if you have newer ones or if I’m just dumb and there is already a new one and I just can’t find it I’m sorry to be a bother but any version of the kernel is better than nothing at this point…
Boomcrafter Posted January 23 Posted January 23 (edited) Also I just realized that I perfectly continued the usual happenings of some German guy asking for a German version. Edited January 23 by Boomcrafter

Hey I've localized nearly all Exkernel-version-systemfiles into DEU, but without installer, since I use the Exkernel Installation DVD 2017 localized DEU including excore16; then I only replace the old files with dual boot system if a new exkernel version of bwc comes up. Sometimes, also the .inf - section has to be changed, I do it manually. So, if you are interested, I could upload DEU system files v3.0 or also latest v3.1L, but you will have a lot of work ;-) PLZ PM to discuss this deeper! Greetings from Austria, Joe
