I could install firefox 53 on windows 2000 exkernel 29e (localized german version). A few things dont work: It is possible to download files into standard download directory. It is NOT possible to change it. Screenshot: I installed on windows 7 and tested with Process Explorer - files are loaded when click "search": audiodev.dll, wpdshext.dll, wmvcore.dll, wmasf.dll, gdiplus.dll, msftedit.dll. Also thumbcache_xxx.dll's. In windows 2000, none of them are loaded. If I choose the second possibility "Ask me" and try to download a file: Screenshot: It is not possible to save the file. It is also not possible to upload files; but drag and drop works! I did not find dependencies of firefox.exe or xul.dll to one of the above files, e.g. gdiplus or msftedit. But I found missing depends of wow_helper.exe with kernel32.dll: RtlLookupFunctionEntry, RtlPcToFileHeader, RtlUnwindEx, RtlVirtualUnwind. Perhaps our Guru blackwingcat can help, also any other comments are appreciated. Greetings from Austria, *longlivew2k*, Joe
eksu posted a topic in Windows 2000/2003/NT4I'm working on a 2007 20" iMac trying to get Windows 2000 running well. I believe it has a Mobility Radeon HD 2400xt. I was unable to install the drivers provided from apple for windows XP through device manager, even though the right hardware id was present. "ATI Mobility Radeon HD 2400 XT" = ati2mtag_M72, PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_94C8&SUBSYS_0084106B The installer also didn't work, when I tried it with SP4 + UR1. I would try BWC's drivers, but they also don't appear to support this device. Does anyone have any idea on what the right direction to go from here is? Thanks. edit: turns out there are drivers for me! BWC's 2011/5/13 Version 11.5c(AGP+HDMI+Mobility) is the last one that has it.
blackwingcat posted a topic in Windows XPWindows 2000, XP and 2003 have the following issue in Sound recorder. You receive a "Not enough memory available to complete this operation" error message when you try to record a .wav file by using Sound Recorder But microsoft did not fix it and left it over 10 years !! I fixed it and you can download here. http://blog.livedoor.jp/blackwingcat/archives/1910546.html You can install the English version in whatever language Windows 2000 and XP. * note I did not check it on vanilla version Windows 2000 (Extended Kernel is okay).
