  1. This guy is being held in a confinement facility not far from where I work. We heard his lunch included something extra today and his toilet paper was missing.
  2. Someone explain to me why they would want to nuke Austrailia because everyone knows that Austrailian babes are far better looking than ... never mind.

  5. AaronXP created exactly what you want and is presently explained in this thread: Super Windows XP SP1 CD :-)
  6. That is a service pack for Windows 2003 Server. It is not for Windows XP, so if you are not running Win2k3 Server you do not need it.
  7. Lets all go to McDonalds Nah, seriously, I hunt squirrles, and we just knock em all off, scrape the skin good, soak em in hot water, and ... yummy
  8. Repair or reinstall IE 6. Sounds like you had a baddie on the PC. Now it is time to consider the source of the baddie. Though it may have come from the internet it may have also originated on a CDR or floppy disc that you used to install something. Scan that stuff. May have been an email attachment as well. Think safe computing in the future. Run those proggies XPerties suggested on a frequent basis. Install the latest Windows Service Pack.
  9. Now I know what to give my Boss for Christmas
  10. I believe it is "Virtual Memory". All the details to free-up virtual memory can be found using Windows Help. Type two words in the Win Help "virtual memory" and you should be okay. See how much free space is on the hard drive before you do anything. Just in case the hard drive is not large enough for XP. Also, is this a upgrade or a clean installation of XP? If you upgraded and left a installation of another edition of Windows on the PC you could consider uninstalling the older edition. However, make sure Win XP works on this PC befrore-hand. Hope this helps. Let us know how it goes
  11. PC-cillin 2000 is a very low-end scanner. Norton Anti-Virus or even McAfee is far better at detecting viruses and trojans, even AOL baddies. McAfee has a free online scanning service that would be better than PC-Cillian at detecting/cleaning something wrong. http://www.mcafee.com/ Since the desktop icons are corrupt it may be to late and you might have to format and start over as roger04 suggested. Hope this helps.
  12. Always good to hear from you and the forum is always better with you. Now get your arse back to work, lol.
