  5. Same here like Aaron. One of my PCs is a dual P3 800 and I do not use a any case fans at all. None of Pentium PCs have a case fan as a matter of fact. My son uses a Athlon 1.7 with two case fans and his case is similar to my dual CPU system. Go figure. XPerties pretty much summed it all up. Take it from a guy that has done it all I am hooked on the Pentium 533 FSB myself.
  6. Right, this is not warez. Personally, I wouldn't use a beta anti-virus program myself. Just too buggy, lol.
  7. Welcome to MSFN
  8. It would be a lot easier to ask her to show you what she was doing and then go from there. However, if the user profiles are reset to default then she had to have admin privilages. Start with the admin control panel because it seems that your own admin account was changed. Since you do not have a restore point, and if it were my PC, I would run a fresh installation of XP. Yea, pain, but there are a lot of personal settings that will take too much time to repair. Schools out and babes are waiting Jay.

  17. One of the main features I look for is "auto set" that resolves the resolution problems. Once the graphics card and monitor are calibrated it is just a simple touch of the "auto set" button to sort it all out. My main LCD has a good software package for customizing the resolution and other things. I also like speakers built into the monitor. The speakers are not near the quality of a dedicated sound system, but it is great for when I am working on another PC via a two PC LAN (I use a monitor switch box) and need to hear the basic sounds. When I was investigating LCDs I learned that some manufacturers gear certain models to games and others to text or general everyday use. A close friend of mine that is a technician in a large computer store sort of made my decision for me. He took me into the tech room and showed me all the customer returns. There were no LG monitors in the stack, lol. My choice was simple.
  18. I would suggest Microsoft Business Solutions. Use this online tool to tailor your needs to a specific software management system. Its fun. http://www.greatplains.com/howtobuy/soluti...tionbuilder.asp
