  1. That type of clause is becoming the norm. The first time I heard about it was when Sony added it to one of the Playstation Network update EULAs, following that time PSN was down for almost a month. http://kotaku.com/5840517/new-playstation-network-terms-of-service-include-a-no-suing-sony-clause
  2. I never trust a website, especially if it is asking for any sort of personal information, that uses bad grammar. Certainly, "if" should be changed to "is" and then it would be correct. However I don't think we're seeing Windows 10 being downloaded to "all" as they say. If so, we would likely had seen a larger (perhaps short-lived) jump in those browser/OS pie-chart websites for Win10.
  3. The only reason I could think of is if you have a DX12 capable Radeon and want to play a new games that requires it.
  4. What is your post in response to?
  5. Personally no, I only use single language installations and do not use additional international keyboards.
  6. It seems many have reported this lately, but I am uncertain whether it is specifically a Windows 10 issue or not. The reason is because this issue has been reported in previous versions of Windows as well, sometimes the cause being a virus. As for Windows 10, I've read people have started to see this happen for a variety of reasons that do not seem to be related. A lot of people say their computer had installed a Windows Update then this happened but it was not the only action people say have happened. Can you post here the things you've tried already?
  7. You should install the driver for the HD Audio Device. If you are using Intel CPU only (no video card) then installing the Intel video driver should install the HDMI audio driver.
  8. Make sure WinPE version and ADK version is the same. For my install, I don't even see any other languages besides en-US. Where do you get the additional language packs from?
  9. I have no experience in this so all I can do is read about the subject. From that link I posted already, these three things are said to be your main concerns: However, if you read the previous post about why the guy thought about the 670, he looks into the things his specific software uses. Perhaps research what cards are good with the software you are using. With the requirement of a fast disk, I also wonder about the disk you encode to. Obviously you aren't saving your videos to your SSD right?
  10. First of all, does your board have BIOS settings to enable hot-plug on the SATA ports?
  11. I just typed this into google: And most results seem to indicate that it is not good for video editing. However, those reactions are old and may not reflect vs the Intel 4000 you use now. You may have to test to see if it really will make a difference for you or not. I found this discussion about this particular comparison. It mentions a bunch of terms and software examples I'm not familiar with but maybe it helps you. http://forums.anandtech.com/showthread.php?t=2252020
  12. Did you look in here? http://www.msfn.org/board/topic/140247-trace-windows-7-bootshutdownhibernatestandbyresume-issues/
  13. It does appear to be a downgrade. The PII has more L2 cache than the Celeron. Look here: http://www.cpu-museum.de/?m=Intel&f=Pentium+P-II#cpu0561 http://www.cpu-museum.de/?m=Intel&f=Celeron#cpu0280 Unless those are the wrong CPUs. Otherwise try to find a manual for that board. A BIOS update may also be needed.
  14. In a case where a problem can be solved without buying something, posting about a paid tool is generally ill advised.
  15. We already have that with cell phones. The underlying firmware (the OS behind the OS) is extremely trusting. The cell phone will connect to any network it happens to find. An average person may have encountered this where their phone may turn into roaming mode. Or in cases where a person is near a border, the phone will connect to the other country's network instead. These cases stand out because the user ends up with a large phone bill. But it is exactly why this thing works well for police: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stingray_phone_tracker
  16. I saw this as an ad-tweet today but I can't find the original one. Just someone retweeted. Anyways basically Merrill Lunch wrote an article about IoT. Getting your bank account/investments mixed into IoT sounds pretty scary to me. https://www.ml.com/articles/how-the-internet-of-things-will-connect-everything.html The article does have this mention near the end, but it really should be the primary focus. Secure your product, then connect your things. Usually, these things are done in reverse.
  17. I'm not exactly sure how it determines if word wrap is to be used. I have an idea it has to do with the browser. As an example, at work using Firefox the words do not wrap. At home using Palemoon, they do. I've also had it where it wrapped, then updated the browser and it stopped working. This seems to be common amongst all IPB forums I've used. Sometimes it wraps, sometimes it doesn't.
  18. I have not used this type of Windows installation, so I wonder if there is anything useful in windowsupdate.log.

  20. We wanted more DOS, got mildly excited about WMIC so they gave us Powershell! What else could we want besides hologram characters from Halo?
  21. Are these files/dirs on the hard drive or removeable media? Also is this a volume where you have indexing enabled?
  22. Did you do the free upgrade on this system?
  23. I ran into a black screen issue where I had a GeForce video card and I installed old Windows 8 drivers. However, I have read about other things causing this problem too. I think we need details about your question to be sure.
  24. Looking that model up on google with "disconnect" sure brings up a lot of results. Have you tried different driver versions? Also in Device Manager, is there power settings for the device?
