Looks wonderful. I'm sure it's even more efficient beneath the bones, coz "beauty is only skin-deep". And..... I'm still hoping for the time-out function in the selection plugins. (i.e., after X seconds it starts installing with default selection)

Yeah, uptil v7.2.5 the reg hash was variable across hardware.... Now with 7.5x the reg hash works fine even with any changes.

Cant Access Network Unless Network Wizard Is Run
prathapml replied to durex's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
Method 1:Just run "netsetup.exe" to start the non-native wizard (the one that gets normally run from XP disc). Method 2: Run the native wizard in true style - rundll32 arguments. -
This is not for myself. I'm asking it for msfn. Stickied topics coloured differently, will reduce a lot of repeatedly asked questions - therefore everybody will feel better.

Cant Access Network Unless Network Wizard Is Run
prathapml replied to durex's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
Actually its a good idea and I even know the command-line to call it. But it has to finish silently without needing input from us - that's what I dunno how it can happen unattended. -
I use WinME. And its better than 98se. And there's many threads already where 98 fans have shot ME a thousand times.... So posting this in one of those night have been better.

Sorry to use strong words but..... Either JUST DO IT or tell precisely how it can be done. Vague pointers doesn't help, I posted this in "Site and Forum Issues" for a reason.

Yeah, I have it myself which is how I can be so sure. This taskbar style needs no skinning tools - its directly usable as it is. Its called the "Energy Blue" theme officially, and "Royale" style among the modding community. Freely downloadable. Dell does not ship their new PCs like that, its probably the vendor who added it in to make it look different.

Hmm.... I know that RyanVM is very good with INFs. And I also know that he is being asked to make his XPSP2 update pack manually installable (which your installer could do). Probably the two of you could join efforts? Dunno.... Let's hope he reads this thread.

So did you try it? What does it say when you run that? Also, "/Q" will work..... -
I don't need no skinning... If you have EXACT instructions on how to do it, then post it. Those links were not what I was looking for. Anyways, links to here and there is useless. Just DO IT, lol.

Apache And Mysql
prathapml replied to el_diablo4303's topic in Server - Side Help (IIS, Apache, etc.)
Just go to apache homepage download apache binaries for your platform - win32 I guess. Get version 2.0.53 which is the latest bug-fixed version. Then from the mysql homepage, get the binary installer of the MySQL database server. It would be called the MSI installer or so, for windows. Go for version 4.1.10 which is the newest. To manage your db, you might need either the windows-based MySQL-Administrator (or phpMyAdmin for which you need to download and configure PHP). Once you have got it up and running, you'll instantly get attacked if its on the public internet. Read up the config files to find out how to secure it. Then read how to install web applications.... -
Yep, managed .NET and managed dX code.

Its lovely to see the old-timers back - more and more of us are returning.... YAY!!!!!!!!

Winnt.sif Options With F6?
prathapml replied to brian.jorgensen's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
Well, considering that the OEMpnpDriversPath method is the one we normally use to integrate drivers, and that OEMpreinstall is what places the drivers appropriately, yes its going to be a lot harder. But you could turn the tables and make it massively easy for yourself. There's a utility called nLite right on this forum - check out its ability to integrate PnP and textmode drivers. nLite is able to make drivers become *DIRECTLY* part of the original windows install source. In other words, your drivers will go into I386. After that integration of drivers with nLite, you don't need oempreinstall anymore. Waiting for friday.... -
That's great going Gurgelmeyer! Waiting for release.... If you need help along the way while making it, do not hesitate to ask!

What I mean is..... Let's say you go into the "Unattended Windows" forum and are viewing the indexed list of topics. The links to stickied topics should then be displayed in a different color. For example, all are listed in black, so stickied topics in blue or green is what I'd look for. The reason being no one looks into stickied topics. I hope I can get my idea across.... Any way to do this?
-
When you post topics, please check if its in the correct forum!! This is not general discussion....
-
Colouring stickied topics differently, so that it is easily noticeable in the forum topics view. Is this possible?

WinAmp since v5 has the ability to rip Audio CDs (thru Media library). If you have the full version (or any other bundle which contains the relevant codecs), you can rip from ACD into MP3 or AAC or OGG formats, only at 2x speed. If you have Pro version, you can rip to all the formats at unlimited speed (i.e., as fast as your CD-drive possibly can), and you can rip to the mp3PRO format as well. You have to download the pro version and from preferences you have to enter your registration to unlock Pro features (as mentioned here). If you do not give your key, the pro version will run just like your full version does. As of now, this is the only difference between unpaid (full) and paid (pro) versions. Nullsoft (AOL) plans to give more facilities in the future.
