  1. Hello Arvind, Welcome to the forums Hoping you get many more informative years of reading on here
  2. You need to download the latest "ie6setup.exe" file from MS downloads section. Its approx. 700 KB or so, the last I saw. Then, while running it and going through its screens, choose your languages, and there's an option to download ALL required files for install on ALL systems. Enabling that checkbox will start download of the entire network install of IE6SP1. You should end up with a folder approx. 72 MB in the ProgramFiles folder. Now put this folder on a CD or a network share, and it will install fine without needing to download anything more. Hoping this helps....
  3. Hello from me too Phatty Hoping you're enjoying this place Its good you finally found the time for an introduction. Hmm..... that reminds me - I'm yet to introduce myself....
  4. MPC 6.4.8.3 officially released. Changelog/Release Notes/What's new Project home page Download
  5. That kind of link is time-consuming.Anyways, looks like the post has been edited now to have an image of the correct type.
  6. First: If this is XP you're speaking of, then install SP2 - it has a new version of IE which can enable/disable these "trickers" add-ons. If its not XP, then get Maxthon shell for your current version of windows, after installing IE6SP1. Maxthon is very quick, allows you to disable those add-ons, very well configurable, has tabbed browsing, and finally it can be made the default browser into which all clicked links open. The fact that maxthon actually runs the IE engine is a major benefit, since it will be compatible with all sites!
  7. Please use a REAL image-host instead of rapidshare... Eg: http://imageshack.us/ Its doubtful anyone would wait out the number of seconds and then download and open the jpeg to see what you're referring to. Also, you need to give more details yourself about what it is and why one should see it and reply.
  8. Its in allUsers. If its visible for you, why not just right-click and see the shortcut's properties? It should show the path where its located, in there.

  10. On February 18, 2005, Dr. Martin Nowak from Germany, found the new largest known prime number, 2^25,964,951-1. The prime number has 7,816,230 digits. It took more than 50 days of calculations on Dr. Nowak's 2.4 GHz Pentium 4 computer. The new prime was independently verified in five days by two reserachers in France and Spain. http://www.tomshardware.com/hardnews/20050227_133948.html see the number in .txt here (56k warning - it is of size 7.7 MB) - http://www.mersenne.org/prime8.txt
  11. Please don't multi-post. Posting in one place itself will get you any available answers.
  12. Glad to have you Scotty! Welcome to MSFN forums
  13. This was not seen when you read the guide?
  14. You mean the Start Menu stickies? (on the top-left of the two-pane view) If so, its a registry entry. Or you mean the shortcuts in the "Programs" sub-menu ?
  15. Have you tried using a different user name? Because some words are not allowed (such as computername, regname, COMPUTER, etc.) Else, everything looks okay. Hey, remove your key from above code section! When you post winnt.sif, don't give out your product key, for obvious reasons!

  17. Start MS-Word, type up all the sentences you want, drap-and-drop the images you want, etc. Then save as a html file. DONE! You already got a simple web-page in front of you, now you just need to "upload" it to your webspace host (the server). So much for web-page making Now on to forums, most good ones are sadly commercial. But one decent free forum software is this - phpBB. You need to download the latest version from there, and then read the instructions and upload to the server. Then run the install from server, and its up and running!
  18. Hi to you too, John! Welcome to MSFN! Looking forward to seeing you around the forums
  19. Please use codeboxes when posting lot of code as in winnt.sif. * topic moved to Unattended forum
  20. Don't worry - chances of this ACTUALLY happening is zero. Just some humour maybe...
  21. It has a cleaner-looking UI, updated IE, removed real-mode DOS... has a lot of system files and others bug-fixed since win98se.... most importantly is still in support (unlike 98se which has gone into "extended" mode). Its the pinnacle of the 9x series.
  22. darn! The thread to discuss regtweaks now is - part2. Please don't bump it up again. This thread is too long already, just let it stay for reference alone.... * locked
  23. get tweakUI to do this....
