This question is not at all related to the place you have posted it in .... Post questions about unattended only in the unattended section, else it might be deleted.

Use the [Components] section in winnt.sif: OEaccess=off That will do what you want... http://unattended.msfn.org/global/reference.htm#components

The Return Of "quick Launch"
prathapml replied to Bootney's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
Bootney, and you want complete solutions attached here, BECAUSE? This is a topic which I myself remember having participated in atleast 50 threads about.... And the people here aren't even bluntly telling you to search, they have given pointers and links, etc. You have to work for what you want to achieve. Chill out and make others feel at ease. Else, action needs to be taken. NO MORE CHANCES. This is a warning from a moderator. -
Winnt.sif with Win2003 server
prathapml replied to Incroyable HULK's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
lol, right you do know it... But still mentioned it again, just in case the recent influx of total n00bs here has made you lose your sanity.... As for i386 and I386 - WHAAAT????? weird! tell us how it goes tomorrow. -
1. Install 7zip - http://www.7-zip.org/2. Make SFX archives using its cool compression levels, become happy. 3. Then find out during your unattended install's extractions of this archive, that your users love to click cancel or exit by using close button. Become sad. 4. Now download the SFX module file from the other thread. 5. Replace the file 7zS.SFX (the sfx module) in 7zip program folder with the above one. 6. Now whatever SFXes you make are not having cancel button or close button anymore, which gives your uA installs some extent of certainty (because we want to control/restrict the possible points of failure in the setup). 7. Start singing happily Hoping this explains it...

YAY!This is great now! *hugs*

Of course it would. Its based on the same mozilla/gecko base as firefox. I'm not sure if its architecture allows it to take firefox extensions... Its 95% the same - except the CRUCIAL difference that its much smoother/faster.

SP2 is a cumulative update - all hotfixes and other updates uptil its release are include in it. All hot-fixes uptil June 2004 that is. You need to separately get any hotfixes released later than june, and apply/integrate it yourself.

In that case, you're liable to whatever your law provides for punishment....Rather, it works like this: Your customers have bought X number of licenses (or packages) of XP, or you have bought it on their behalf (as in vendor packaging pre-installed deals). You HAVE to give them all the boxes/licenses/keys/discs. And since the agreement allows making one backup copy, you can effectively make a uA disc with lot of freeware and drivers and customizations (such as logo, regtweaks, etc.) and give this alongwith with the rest of the package to the customer. Now, you can decide that you want to give such a (added) disc at no extra cost to him, or you may say "pay me X dollars and I'll bundle along a uA disc in the package deal". Now its clear? Also, its not necessarily limited to include freeware alone. You can include whatever commercial apps for which the customer has bought licenses.

That's cool, but posted this in Device Drivers? Why Mr. Anderson? (matrix-style.. )

Hello freakboy, Doing a silent installation is simple with just this: first go to your IE6 setup files folder. then run below ie6setup.exe /Q:A /R:N But slip-streaming is far better in the sense that it becomes part of the install, and no wastage of disk space or time after install in setting up IE6SP1. More info for slip-streaming IE6 - LINK. Do post back on how it goes!

Winnt.sif with Win2003 server
prathapml replied to Incroyable HULK's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
Out with details Lets fix it!Or maybe later when there's time for it.... Anyways, the boot-sector, setupldr.bin, and txtsetup.sif have all been edited by you? You followed the flyakite multi-boot guide exactly? Then it should work! What normally happens is people see multiple guides and make a hodge-podge mess of it all... Following a single one word-for-word might help... -
The Return Of "quick Launch"
prathapml replied to Bootney's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
Uh! I get what you mean....Its altogether impossible! Just use the Ctrl-F (or F3) search to find what you need, paste it into your regtweaks and enjoy! -
K-Meleon probably is a preferred browser by far... Screenshots Home Page

Me neither. The upgrade set all those to defaults probably.I waited for 2 hours - got no notifications, immediately guessed that it'd be something to do with this. Well I had to set it back to send email notifications and now its fine. So yeah, I guess this happened to everyone. Alanoll might have set it as well, but forgotten about it.

That's why its an "ex" now.... Try telling that to your parents?

Thank god for WinAmp5 and its ripping abilities....
-
Yeah its legal ANYWHERE in the world Only thing to make sure of is, if the license you are giving is home edition retail, even the uA install CD should be made from that alone. You can't make make a uA disc from XP corp. and supply a home edition license/COA with it and still call it legal....

7zip, no close button anymore.... Does the close button (top-right of dialog) still exist though?

The Return Of "quick Launch"
prathapml replied to Bootney's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
Correct. Its surprising no one notices that, but complains that its not working.Henceforth, using the CODEBOX tag instead of CODE tag is recommended - to retain the original formatting. Anyways, for the immediate purpose of enabling quick launch bar, even after knowing that its a registry tweak, its weird the thought of using the attachment in registry tweaks thread doesn't occur to the one looking for it.... -
More likely than not, the reg tweak posted above is what he is looking for.
