So, as evident, ME is not quite such a bad OS. In fact, disabling of some extra features (yeah, only 2) is all it takes to get it work good. But...... where were all of you whenever winme got bashed around (on the forum) by win98 fans? lol

Only one way to find out - try and see. Also, 1. Beta drivers are beta for a reason - I have seen WHQL drivers that are WHQL for all of geforce series except a particular set, and so on.... 2. If you're testing, you shouldn't be desperate enough to use betas. 3. What does the betas give you anyway? Better performance? That perf. improvement is only with top-of-the-line cards (geforce 6800). Moreover, shouldn't you be looking for a functional install first before starting to get perf. benefits?

EULA That says its freely re-distributable, and that its shareware for 30 days - after that you should uninstall it. That's probably more than enough. It takes just an hour to go through all the tweaks and record them. After that you don't need the app anyway - just uninstall!

note: taskkill.exe is only present in XP Pro and Svr2k3. If you have XP home or win2k, you need pskill. If you use win9x series, then you need the resource kit (to do something like taskkill).

Hmm.... interesting! Just a month ago, a friend was having this problem: XPSP2 + Photoshop + font = no workie XPSP1 + Photoshop + SAME font = working fine. So if you're on XPSP2, then may I suggest trying same font with SP1 once? (on a friend's PC, probably) No, I do not have a solution to this yet. But atleast by trying with SP1, you will know if its an SP2 problem, or something that you did wrong yourself.

Yes it is! good decision Its simply wonderful!You can make plugins to tweak what you're interested in, you can "record" your tweaks and generate a .REG file so that next time you can do it without needing to install this app, etc....
