  1. depends.... its possible that you may not at all have access to what you need to fix this. You need to login to your MySQL (or whatever db you use) as root and assign the relevant privileges to the userid under which your db is being accessed by your forum. If its mysql, you have a choice of mode of use... PhpMyAdmin ---> easiest MySQL Administrator ---> easy (downloadable freely as the client to manage the mysql server) command shell ---> extremely unlikely you'll be given access to this
  2. OpenOffice 1.1..4 - yes, it can do flash, and PDF as well. Its totally free to boot!
  3. Press F4 to bring up the sidebar, then the boomarks list comes up. Right-click on whichever you choose...Then you can make it go back to being out of view by pressing F4 or Shift-F4 or clicking the small bit of trigger area at the left edge of the screen.
  4. All of this is the same no matter which service pack level...Just a few specific things might be different here-and-there, thats all..
  5. Isn't this file related to the Intel graphics driver
  6. Leave out your key though!
  7. Hello gav52, Enjoy your stay at MSFN forums
  8. Could be insufficient rights for the user on the db...
  9. What versions of Apache, PHP and MySQL? If you want just a quickfix testing solution, check out xampp. CAUTION: It is not recommended for live usage online, its only for the newcomer to test his pages. Just use it offline, since you should beef up its security before finally putting it in action. Do post back on how it works out! http://www.apachefriends.org/en/xampp.html
  10. This article just meant for the info of those who'd like to read it... old news - 12th feb.
  11. Amen. A professional buys the tools he uses. Anyone who has to spend the kind of money that adobe premiere demands, has to be doing pretty high-end jobs. Lastly, one who has paid for his software will stop at nothing to use it to its fullest extent. You wouldn't buy program X for half a grand, and then use a freeware for something programX can do - you would instead weigh in on the support channel to make a patch that makes that errant function better than the best in market.
  12. Maybe, just maybe....Having the forum stickies titles displayed in a different colour is a solution?
  13. ahem... cool! Would you please detail it to share with others...
  14. Another 2 bubbles to burst First, cmdlines.txt will be run if it exists. No uA install, no OEMpreinstall values needed. Just make a $OEM$ folder and put cmdlines.txt in it and it will work straight out. Second, cmdlines is executed at T-12. If you'd like to know, its a fact that if at all you applied regtweaks at T-9, there's NO way it will stick. @BeenThereB4 Hmm.... so what is it you have to do to have unattended *AND* F6 drivers as well?
  15. Hallo Spunge! You're welcome to do so.... Enjoy your stay
  16. wraith, you know enough to anticipate question number 2 don't you? "Why am I not able to proceed in the install / Its not extracting..."
  17. Well, the text (6)in messenger will show up a devil emoticon with a mad laugh....

  20. Hot news... This is great to hear! Maybe I'll use it too...
  21. Correct. del /S /Q "%AllUsersProfile%\Start Menu\Programs\Startup\*.lnk" Or if its user-specifioc, then %userprofile%.
  22. Stead, to add things in 2k to take it closer to XP is almost impossible. Also, XP is a better OS under the covers (and over the covers too ). About the only complaint people have is that XP has too many features and an extravagant interface. So now just nLite your winxp to remove all the things you don't want, and strip it down to the slimness of win2k. nLite can be found from trhis forum's index page...
  23. Site Kick hoping this helps...
  24. I meant the filename example you have given there - that sets an example of sorts, and people continue following that precedent.
  25. Now you get what I mean, about calling your MSI options file as wa5inst.ini or something like that, and let winamp.ini not have multiple meanings...
