WXP SP2 versions have an updated driver-list - so its that one which got installed. Right there (in Advanced) check for details and version, and you'll see that they all say "Microsoft Corporation". So, you need to have a higher (and signed) version than what is already with windows - only then will the drivers fron nVidia install from YOUR drivers - currently it hasn't used your drivers at all!
-
Yes, that's what you need to do. Although, I believe you need an updated MUI in both cases - the old one may not work properly.

Recovery Console won't install
prathapml replied to Adiel's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
Is the latest Service Pack slip-streamed? What other hotfixes are you having installed? Have you tried to save space on CD by deleting the unnecessary folders in I386? -
The drivers get installed (using INF) thru OEMpnpDriversPath. Install the CPanel (setup.exe) at GUIrunOnce, though I don't exactly know what advantage installing it at cmdlines itself would give - it might even fail at such an early point! You might like to start a new thread for this subject.....

Right! And there's no one here who misses the old AIDA more than me.... They used to develop a 16-bit, DOS version as well - now its not anymore, since lavalys bought it out.
-
Well, congrats to you on getting it installed silently - for more info go to this thread.

Yup! Both seem to be good ideas. Not that I was missing those features, but the idea is good.

LOL - you do seem to have a good sense of humour, don't you? I was looking for something like that - so yes, it helps thank you!

And who was the source who said there would be no SP5 at all? But, they've been saying all along that they aren't going to consider adding the "SpringBoard" features they added into XPSP2 to any other version of windows, except for the next (LongHorn?). It has taken a lot of time and effort and testing to do it to XP, and doing the same for an older version may seem "not financially sound" to MS. You might see SP5 after quite some time, (due to needing to concentrate on longhorn and W2k3 Sp1) - but there's no reason it won't be there, and not any possibility of the new features making their way into win2k.
-
Yup! You aren't alone in seeing that "Professional" string go away - its normal with SP2.

Windows XPSP2's own firewall rocks - why bog down your system with anything alse when it exists? Otherwise, if I'm working on a non WinXPSP2 OS, ZoneAlarm 5.1 Security Suite is the tops - firewall, ad-blocking, and anti-virus (and more) all in one neat package which won't slowdown the system (in contrast to Symantec's parallel solution of Norton Internet Security 2004).

Older versions of UltraISO may not be fully compatible with making images from protected CDs. The newest version is 7.21, and I've seen no limits to it so far. Please upgrade your UltraISO to the newest version, and checkback if you are able to do it.

Well, I have an nForce2 MoBo as well, and I don't bother about the order - it seems to be relevant only in the case of a few Intel chipsets. You find all this talk about naming your driver folders with a prefix of "001", "002" and so on.... I did not do any of that, and my install is working perfectly as well as for those who did name it that way for "setting it in the right order". Don't bother about order - it installs in just the same way as the wizard installs it when you do it manually (starting nForce drivers setup). Just have all the drivers there in the folders, and list them all (folders) in the OEMpnpDriversPath, without forgetting any component. That's all.

This can't be an SP2 bug - SP2 by itself has not these kind of crippling errors. Also, check if you downloaded nLite from somewhere other than the official download location - nowadays a lot of cracking and warez sites are distributing it - you never know what they might have done to it.
-
I check out sys. temps. (and lots more) through a wonderful system diagnostic utility called everest here - home page. Download it (freeware) and look up "Computer >> Sensors" for the info.
-
This is not a "warez" site, and discussion of warez-related items will not be tolerated. Just for your info anyway, let me tell you, upgrading to SP2 will again (so to speak) un-crack all the files that have been cracked, and you need to activate it again. Using RESET 5.02 on a SP2 machine will make the windows installed version break - you can't even login in safe-mode, you need to do a repair install after that. So buying a licensed version of windows is your best option. ***Could a mod please lock this thread, or move it out of public discussion please?

SVCPACK not installing Framework in SP2...
prathapml replied to Denney's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
Oh, as you already found out yourself, there's no need to change the BuildNumber for svcpack.inf, as it still is 2600. -

Hey, reboot is a property, not part of display-section. You'd add "REBOOT=Suppress" to the [Options] section. -
.net (netfx) install the way mce and tabletpc do
prathapml replied to bilemke's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
Well, deleting the EXEs serves no purpose other than to save a few tens of KB. Keeping it allows you to install .NET framework from the Autorun running off the CD. -
Yup! Welcome to the forums dude! Most people do eventually start contributing after they've got a certain amount of knowledge gleaned off here - you would too, I'm sure.
-
There might be a remote chance that Nero BurnRights from here can do what you want - although I've only seen it being used to allow, you want to DIS-ALLOW.
-
I believe you are talking about the modifications to your admin-point (also referred to as "server image"). If so, won't those deletions make the installer complain about missing files?
-
Hi takuma, A similar topic is being discussed here and posting your question there might give more context to the question.

.net (netfx) install the way mce and tabletpc do
prathapml replied to bilemke's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
Hey, here's some info for those doubtful about why .NET doesn't install from autorun (when you click): 1. Open up the setup.exe (autorun) in the root of the CD, using Resource Hacker. 2. Browse to "String Table \\ 83 \\ 1033 \\ 1313" 3. There you see the command run when you click "Install .NET framework" in the autorun, which is: 4. "dotnetfx\\setup.exe" 5. So just keep the dot net installer and setup.exe in the location and it will work. The question is, from where is that folder-path based off from? Is it CD-root\dotnetfx\setup.exe or CD-root\I386\dotnetfx\setup.exe or CD-root\cmpnents\I386\dotnetfx\setup.exe or CD-root\cmpnents\netfx\I386\dotnetfx\setup.exe -

Can anyone who has gotten sleepnmojo's method above working, please confirm? @Alanoll And what may the name of the ident for the second CD be? @takuma No, don't bother about what the 2nd CD is. Just make a new text-file in the root of your normal CD, with the name that Alanoll would (hopefully) post.
