  1. How can you tell if a computer has an nForce2 easily? I know I can check if the nVidia drivers got installed by checking for files like nvmctl.nmu or something similar, but I do not want to detect nForce1 or nForce3.
  2. If you left out WMP9 and you get the incompatible error when trying to install later, then what you do is extract WMP10, right click on WMP10.inf, install... And then you will be able to run the installer normally and it won't b***h anymore.
  3. downloader = DLExpert (freeware, no ads!) defrag = Raxco PerfectDisk (second best: O&O) webpages = Notepad
  4. I searched for acrobat 6.02 and did not find what I was looking for....
  5. Is there an Acrobat Reader 6.02 installer? I find it very annoying that Adobe's site has only offered 6.01 for quite a while now. Having to update things right after installing them is quite annoying to me.
  6. It likes to default to thumbnails even when I applied the list view to all folders and set it to not save settings for new folders.... It seems to be pretty random about it. So screw it, I want it gone.
  7. Yes, there is. I did run it on a K6-2 once and that did have ISA. Also, check out your registry for 'isapnp' and you'll find plenty of stuff.
  8. Note about changing hardware, my uncle bought XP (home) and we installed it on his POS Duron ONE time, then I built him a new computer and it would not activate w/o calling MS. Though they gave us a key to activate it (not a CD key but another one) once we explained on the phone that we're only using it on 1 computer.
  9. No, I mean completely getting rid of the option for thumbnails. Not just not using it.
  10. Can I remove thumbnail view from XP? I don't want to just disable thumbnail cache or anything like that. I want thumbnail view completely gone. Period. Thanks
  11. I haven't used ISA for years... Can I just completely rip it out of XP?
