  1. Have you guys tried out the RTM version of Vista yet? How long did it take to install? When I installed the BETA builds, it took me at least 40 minutes. Whats disappointing about it there was no time remaining sequence which really bothered me. This Vista installation process is disappointing.
  2. If you thought Microsoft was demanding enough for you to get an average score to use Vista... what the hell is Microsoft thinking. Not everybody has a powerful machine to handle Vista.
  3. Why Microsoft didn't even bother with a boot screen, how pathetic is that. At least they could have made an effort to make one. Worse Windows bootup screen ever.
  4. I think WMP11 is crap, I'm fine with WMP10. And I use Winamp to listen to music instead, so it doesn't bother me if they don't release a 2003 version of WMP11.
  5. Sorry if this has been asked before, there are so many topics here. Your NLite tool is great, but I have a slight problem. Its not frequent, but I find it as a minor annoyance. I removed Dr. Watson, and now I get these "write errors" asking me to debug when I launch some applications (Such as WMP), I don't get it all the time, and some errors causes services.exe to shut down, therefore forcing Windows to restart within 40 seconds. Is there a way to fix this, or what shouldn't I remove? Oh, one more thing, I set it to unattended install, it bypasses everything except the screen where I have to set a computer name for my installation. Is there a way to bypass that too? I already did set a computer name but it keeps showing that screen, with the name typed in the box already. Thanks.
  6. Nah, not at the bottom of the window, but underneath it, to the right of the screen (the other buttons page, tool, print and such). And to be fair, he's right. It's very annoying to scroll all the way across the screen for that. And if you add buttons (like for fiddler or such), then they seemingly stay hidden, you have to click those 2 tiny arrows besides it for it to appear underneath. I'm not liking the GUI at all. Yes thats what I mean. Its so complicated and confusing I wonder why Microsoft and the IE team bothered re-arranging it. It looks horrid, and I agree, the GUI sucks big time. Even Firefox 2.0 looks way better and feels better than IE7. Just got it and it works great.
  7. Who here thinks the layout of IE7 is too complicated? I don't like it how the navigation buttons are all over the place, Back and Forward button at the left hand side of the screen while the rest is at the bottom near right hand side.... WTF? How unconvienient.
  8. Conclusion: Don't use IE7. In fact, don't use any version of IE at all, you're better off without it. Use Firefox. And Firefox 2.0 is coming out on the 24th. Hurray.
  9. I have a spyware shield that detects tracking cookies when you visit a website and automatically removes them. And all the problems I had in IE6 are still present in IE7, I find that suprising really. Sorry, but I must say IE7 sucks.
  10. I thought IE7 was very disappointing. The sites that I visited from IE6 had the same problems with IE7, though the problems were never present in Firefox. And IE7 still downloaded tracking cookies which I thought it was s***.
  11. Well, I disabled some services and there is nothing wrong with it. Though I liked it how it decreased the boot time. So no need to agrue about it people.
  12. The last time I checked, which was yesterday, WGA is not available on the Windows Update site anymore. I guess people were nagging to Microsoft and they probably withdrew it.
  13. Thanks for the replies, people. I just wanted to stop some useless services I don't need.
  14. Hello all, I've disabled some services and when I reboot into Windows by restarting the whole PC, the services I've disabled previously have been turned back on by default. Is there a way to disable them permanantely without them restarting themselves again when I restart Windows? Thanks.
  15. Download an anti spyware tool and run it and remove it. Having popups means you have adware on your computer.
  16. Wow, sounds like this build is broke, worser than the last one. Hmm.... You guys saved me a lot of headache because I did not install it. I'll think I'll keep the previous build.
  17. So you guys are saying that this build is disappointing?
  18. Is this build more of an improvement than the last one? I've downloaded it, haven't installed it yet.
  19. Yeah, unfortunately IDM takes up a lot of resources and its very slow when it complies the pieces of data together. I have a gig of RAM so it doesn't take too long. But I still use it because I love the fast download speeds.
  20. Finally, a new build available to download. Thanks for sharing the link with us. Use this download manager called Internet Download Manager, I get speeds up to 1.2MB per second. Even better, I hate downloading it without a download manager, the file sometimes prematurely ends and the file becomes corrupt.
  21. Is this available to the public or to subscribers?
  22. Run Windows XP if your machine can handle it. I'll never recommend Windows ME.
  23. Thanks for that, dAbReAkA. Worked perfectly.
  24. Is there an option to change the icons inside the folders back to classic view? I think the size of the new icons inside the folder look kinda messy and weird. Oh, and I noticed they changed the size of the arrow shortcut on the icons, which looks horrible.
