  1. Vista CG for me as well. The best looking one so far I've used. I've used Luna blue since I've installed Windows XP back in 2002, until 2006 when I finally changed. Needed a new look.
  2. If you set everything on high, the graphics look quite amazing. I already got a copy of this game and I enjoyed it. Though there were some flaws and I thought the sound quality was a bit soft but gameplay and graphics were excellent. And I prefer GDI over than NOD and Scrin.
  3. I use to use Nero 7, until I thought it was buggy, bloated and yes, buggy. Everytime when I burn a CD or DVD, it always produces errors on the CD, either those stupid redundant error messages or some other crap. Stick with Nero 6. So much better and less problems to deal with.
  4. Firefox 2 is the best for me.
  5. Urrgh, stupid Microsoft, they did this so we'll all upgrade to crappy Vista. Yeah, the hell with Microsoft, they pull a sneaky one on us consumers all the time.
  6. 1. It crashes on every game I would play. 2. I'm currently using 6.7 for Windows XP 32 bit 3. It crashes on the newer drivers from 7 to 7.2 I formatted my computer and did a full clean copy of Windows and installed the drivers, the problem persisted. I have two ATI cards and the ATI Radeon 9600XT doesn't crash when I use the new driver, only on the current computer I'm using which is weird.
  7. I've already joined some ATI forum and I couldn't find a solution there so I'll guess I'll try here. I'm currently using an older driver which has no problems, but if I use the latest drivers, the game would crash frequently after a few minutes of playing or instantly. I don't know ifs the drivers or something thats conflicting it. I have all the updates, updated everything including my chipset drivers and DirectX(I'm using a Gigabyte motherboard with Nvidia technology chipset drivers by the way) but no avail. I'm using an ASUS EAX1600 Pro by the way. Any solutions here? Please help, thanks.
  8. Yeah I downloaded the demo and it rocks. As a fan of Command & Conquer, I really enjoyed it, though I found the gameplay quite simple. I'll be definitely getting this game once it comes out (Which is soon) I'm running everything on max on my computer and it works perfectly without lag.
  9. Hello all, I've encountered this error in the past but CHKDSK managed to fix this error, temporarily. When I boot into Windows I get this BSOD "UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME". Just before I've scanned the disk and I'm able to boot into Windows. I'm starting to suspect that my hard drive might be damaged or something. If I keep getting this error does this mean that my hard drive is damaged or whatsoever? It reports my hard drive has bad sectors or something and causes the computer to freeze or BSOD's. Thanks for reading this, hope to see some solutions.
  10. I wonder how slow will Vista loads once you install an anti virus or internet security suite with all your installed programs. Yes Vista is a CPU and RAM hog, I can't believe it took Microsoft 5 years to produce an OS which is so bad, slow and eats the s*** out of your resources. Great job Microsoft, you really did it. Everything is bad about this OS, Internet Explorer 7 sucks, Windows Media Player 11 is bad.... sorry I'm anti Vista and I just don't like this joke of an OS they call Vista.
  11. No, I did not have encounter any error message when I slipstreamed all the updates. I'll try again, and give you my update.
  12. Is this the one your talking about: Last Session.ini file? If so, here is the link: http://www.mediafire.com/?5okhwdngmyy
  13. I'm using the english version of Windows XP. I've rolled back to the last stable version of NLite and its still happening. Don't know where I did wrong, and its annoying.
  14. 2 hours? Thats unusual. Mine only takes about 20-30 minutes with all the hotfixes and update packs slipstreamed.
  15. Hello all, I've never encountered this problem with NLite until now. I've created an ISO image and burnt it into my CD, and the first phase of setup goes well. (The blue screen text mode) When it boots into the GUI setup mode, it fails and restarts the computer itself. The second time it displays an error message, I couldn't read it because it keeps restarting itself. So what am I doing wrong? By the way, I'm using the latest RC version of NLite. A solution here is needed here. Thanks.
  16. I recommend the AM2. Its the latest one and its now cheaper. Getting an older model is a bit expensive, since they discontinued it. (I think) I'm using AM2 at the moment and I think its great.
  17. One more question here: Is anybody using the latest ATI driver? I'm having problems with it, each time I would use it, games would crash frequently and I'm using an older driver which has no problems. Does anybody else have this problem as well?
  18. Don't worry, I had to return the card to the computer store and they gladly replaced it with another one. I'm using it right now and it works fine. Thanks for your help guys.
  19. Did you try reinstalling or updating your DirectX? If the problem persists, its probably got to do with your video card. Or see if there is any software conflicting with it, like your anti virus or whatever.
  20. I can't, there isn't anything to see on the monitor. Nothing shows up at all. I'm suspecting that the video card itself is broken.
  21. I wonder if this "Vienna" OS is going to be like a disaster like Vista (No offense, I think Vista sucks). Probably more bloatware and unnecessary components. We'll wait and see, but I'm not going to get my hopes up for this new operating system. And maybe by this time IE8 will be out for this one too, which I could care less.
  22. Hello all, I just bought a new ATI Radeon 512MB x1600 Pro and I'm having problems with it. I have a standard CRT monitor with the normal video input and this video card uses a newer video input. A convertor came along with it so I'm using that one. Problem is that when I boot my computer up, the computer restarts several times and finally boots up, but I cannot see anything on my monitor, the button light keeps flashing green. So whats wrong with it? Is it my motherboard or the video card that has problems? I have a 550 Watt power supply and the recommended power supply for this card is only 300 watts. Thanks for reading this, I just bought it and I'm cheesed off I can't use it.
  23. I'm using AVG Internet Security 7.5 suite at the moment, haven't had any problems with it, yet. BitDefender was alright, later it showed problems like killing off my internet connection, slowed down my computer or made certain background problems hanging which I don't know why. And certain pages takes forever to load. ZoneAlarm was terrible. Had stability problems, took forever to boot up. Norton is crap too. Huge resource eater, takes at least 4 minutes to load all the services at startup, stupid firewall keeps asking me to allow or block this process all over again. And it takes forever to load which I hate. Kaspersky is the worst. After 5 minutes it lags my computer like hell, firewall is annoying, too many security prompts and won't remember the action permanently. Worser than Norton. I hate Trend Micro Internet Security. All it did was make my computer slow, and I hated the fact that it blocked off my internet access when it first boots into Windows. I have to disconnect my modem and reconnect it again to work. Piece of s*** program ever. All internet security suites suck, all they do is block off everything, buggy and a huge resource eater.
  24. Seriously, I use to like Norton, ever since Norton Internet Security 2003 came out their products went downhill. I don't understand why Norton uses up so many resources for no apparent reason. If so many people criticized about its performance and RAM usage, why doesn't Symantec make changes? Thank god I uninstalled Norton's products, they are all garbage. The worse product I've used was Norton Ghost 9.0, too slow, POS didn't even work properly.
  25. Norton is just terrible. Huge system hog, slows down computer and the firewall just sucks, frequent security prompts that won't go away. Now I'm using AVG which isn't too bad.
