  1. I voted for Windows XP Pro. Thats the only XP version I've only used. Nice driver support, nice interface, I can get anything done with it.
  2. I'll only run Windows 98 because of DOS support. Other than that I would use a newer version of Windows. It did have a good user interface back then, but I cannot use Windows 98 anymore, it would crash, freeze and burn on me, which is a pain.
  3. Hi, one question. Does this service pack provides more stability for Windows ME? I read the whole thread and I didn't find any post related to my question (I think). Thanks.
  4. I thought Doom 3 was better than F.E.A.R. I liked Doom 3 because of its gameplay and graphics. ID Software did a better job on the background. I thought some of the background and character textures looked a bit ugly in F.E.A.R. I liked the demo, I was a bit disappointed with the retail version though. And one thing I did not like about F.E.A.R was you only get to carry 3 weapons at one time. I got use to playing FPS games that your character gets to carry all weapons available during the game.
  5. I've had several PC's back then, but currently I have two. One in my room, another old one outside. Both of them are running Windows XP, the one in my room is the host which shares the internet connection to the other one outside.
  6. I agree with you there. They should have kept the name "Longhorn". I think calling it 2006 sounds a bit too commerical though. But 2006 sounds better than "Vista" though. I bet all the anti-Microsoft people would be laughing already.
  7. I'm wondering what the final specifics for Windows Vista is. Apparently I've heard that you need at least 2 GIG of RAM just to run it. I mean come on, that is way too demanding, even for an operating system. What is Microsoft thinking anyway?
  8. Currently I like Limewire. It is good to find common files and video files. the bad side is, I look for rare files, and its most likely I won't be able to find it on Limewire, only Soulseek and DC++ is one of the only clients which can actually find rare files. I use to like Kazaa, since all that stupid adware and spyware bulls*it came along I stopped using it. I haven't touched it since then. BitTorrent is alright, its crap if there is hardly any seeders though, but I like it if it has plenty of seeders, you can get a high download speed.
  9. I love Quake 4. The weapon designs were quite good. Nice backgrounds and textures, even though some of them looked a bit weird. I though Doom 3 had better graphics than Quake 4 though. Oh, and if you guys wants bots in multiplayer, its out already. Type "Stupid Angry Bot" in Google and you will find it.
  10. I think F.E.A.R is a bit of a highly overated game. I wasn't too impressed by the gameplay though, no offense. The graphics were not to impressive, and my machine couldn't even handle high or ultra quality graphics, it would lag badly, even though I have 1 GIG of RAM and a decent 256MB video card.
  11. I think the name Vista sounds cheesy and gay. I'm suprised that Microsoft picked out such a stupid name for the next operating system.
  12. Windows XP Pro is by far one of the finest operating systems ever I've used, I would say. It does have its flaws and benefits, but I really liked XP Pro.
  13. I'm glad to see some people here like trance music. I'm a huge fan of trance. I'm also into other electronic dance genres like hardstyle, techno, house and acid. I'm also quite fond of pop, some rock and a bit of R&B.
  14. Custom built. Its more cheaper without all that unnecessary computer software.
  15. I voted for Windows ME. Well, technically, I really despise Windows NT, well yeah, because thats a different operating system designed for business use only. Of course, I would have voted for Windows NT if it was on the poll. I hate it because it has a lack of driver and gaming support. Windows ME was bad too. It ran like crap on my system. All the constant freezing and crashing... gave me a headache. And what was really bad was I used the Windows Update features, after restarting my computer, Windows ME became more unstable before it was. Don't know why though. I liked Windows 98 though, but I can't use it anymore because its buggy like Windows ME. Why didn't Microsoft ever release a service pack for both operating systems anyway?
