  2. Well, what exactly is the problem??? You have yet to post any specific information, and if you continue to post these generic vague requests for help then I'll have to conclude that you're just trolling.
  3. From those O17s it looks like your TCP/IP stack was messed with...
  4. Have you partitioned/installed OS yet?
  5. Network printers usually aren't that cheap...
  6. The mobo and other components in the case emit RFI... toroids wouldn't work too well as the frequencies used by the SATA interface would be attenuated by them. Shielding is the best method.http://www.ata-atapi.com/sata.htm This article is old, maybe they've fixed some of the problems now as I've started to see shielded SATA cables being sold.
  7. I would've just suggested taking a standard external USB hub and making it 'internal' by putting it inside the case...
  8. 7200RPM drives do not need any additional cooling when properly installed in a metal case with good airflow. 10000+ RPM drives such as WD Raptors etc. do need a dedicated fan as they produce much more heat. Keep your drive where it is, anywhere in that area of the case is fine.
  9. I don't agree with that at all. Neither of our systems here at home have floppy drives and we never have any need for one. You can download a boot CD and burn it as easily as making a floppy these days. DirtWarrior, what is the purpose for the BootCD you want? If your mobo supports USB mass storage / HDD emulation, all is well without a floppy - you can use a USB drive instead. However SATA and RAID drivers seem to still come on floppies...
  10. Look under the File menu...
  11. Monitors don't need drivers... But they do come with mostly useless add-on software...
  12. I recommend Ghost, Ghost, and Ghost.
  13. If you don't even have Outlook 2003, it doesn't really matter at all!
  14. It's a "GUEST" account, not a "QUEST" account You might want to take a look at state-restoration programs like DeepFreeze, basically they preserve the original state so the users can do whatever they want with the machine, but after one reboot all changes made are gone and the original state is reloaded. Viruses, malware, etc. all removed automatically.
  15. The SATA interface cabling is less shielded and operates at a higher frequency than PATA cabling, so it is more vulnerable to EMI and RFI.
  16. It depends on the maker of the AC'97 chipset... I've heard some that are actually horrible, and others that aren't too bad. The newer Realteks are in the latter.
  17. Is the fan working? Most of them have a protection circuit that shuts down the system if the CPU fan does not reach a certain RPM in a specified time.
  18. WinEggDrop TinyFTPD 1.4, it's just a single 14Kb file (portable, no installation required).
  19. If you're behind a NAT router, a firewall is quite unnecessary.
  20. He's probably still working on it.
  21. Also Copy2Gb patched kernel, enables manipulation of files >2Gb.
  22. Are those celsius or farenheit? If celsius... your system is seriously overheating.
  23. I think you need to set the CD type to OEM and use OEM preactivation key (search the M$ site, M$ has released these keys)
  24. You could also check the cabling, SATA is much more vulnerable to EMI than IDE because of the higher frequencies and less shielding.
  25. Call the ISP and tell them to close the ports on their end? Some ISPs can do this for free, others may charge.
