  1. mspaint.exe?
  2. Battery driver? You mean ACPI? Usually Windows detects it automatically...
  3. Learn how to search better
  4. Have you checked the processor temperature?
  5. If you have that many you should definitely get corporate version.
  6. Any specific reasons for using SafeArray, other than "just because I can"? "Safe"...
  7. I prefer the "flat" button style, so the files I used have been edited that way. Look at some of the images I post once in a while and you'll see what I mean.
  8. You can start Windows from a MS-DOS 7.1 boot disk, ensure WinBootDir and WinDir are set correctly in MSDOS.SYS. Boot to the prompt, change to the windows directory, and enter WIN command.
  9. You mean you tried all suggested solutions (17,900 hits)? I had a good look through a lot of other forums, to no prevail. and No, i aint gonna look through 17,900 hits...would anyone? Gonna give these things a go tonight, will let you know wat i find. Maybe not 17,900 as Google won't even let you get to all 17,900, but I have looked through several hundred search results before... not as tedious as you think it looks.
  10. ...and mind your cooling.
  11. Some rare files are found on eMule but there are no torrents of them. And vice versa. Use both.
  12. ...and use the command prompt to do that, as obviously you can't open it in Explorer.
  13. I've found that Window's standard PS/2 compatible Mouse Driver is usually better than any drivers the mouse might come with. Try reinstalling the standard driver and see if it helps.

  15. A normal forum should work fine...
  16. Are you using recursive functions? Don't.
  17. This agrees with my experience, "RAM optimiser" programs rarely work as intended. Most are purely cosmetic.
  18. By "many" I meant the generic no-named Chinese-made MP3 players that sell for cheap and work reasonably well, most of them are based on the same chipset. The situation is different for more expensive players like iPods (not sure but I think it requires its own driver)
  19. Same effect as if you created a shortcut pointing to itself... recursion
  20. Bad idea, flash RAM has a limited number of write cycles (much less than magnetic media). Several million writes (which I believe is the current standard of reliability) to the same location seems much, but for an application like a pagefile that number will be reached very easily.
  21. You are expected to search the entire site and not just one forum of it, even though most would probably start off with the Vista forum only.
  22. When I saw the title I was thinking more along the lines of this...
  23. Many of them are detected as standard USB Mass Storage devices, so they should work fine with 98se.
  24. After reading this I was wondering if it is possible to put a watermark on XP's desktop...
