  1. Try one of these, hope one will work for you.
  2. Well, I'm using PC-Cillin Internet Security Suite 14 under Vista 5728 and didn't come up with any errors. Everything working fine so far.
  3. Aero is a DX10-based GUI. I wonder why he/she asked about Aero under DX8....

Cheers, downloading.... Maybe we can play some time
  5. Welcome, you definitely came to the right place!
  6. Either way, get a new mobo, as Jeremy said.
  7. I take it you have a Logitech keyboard
  8. True, that's what I do too...
  9. That pop-up is for your own security! Don't think you can get rid of it.
  10. What version of IE are you using?

I agree with Jeremy's advice... However, why do you want to disable it???
  12. Definitely a NO-NO for my office
  13. I tell ya what WILL boost your internet connection speed: bigger bandwidth
  14. For RAM I'd go either for Crucial Ballistics or Mushkin with highest frequencies available (and supported by your mobo) For mobo, (OK, I might be biased) go for Gigabyte. Very stable, easy overclocking, plenty of features. For GFX, I'd go for either BFG or XFX. That's my 2 cents
  15. Hahahaha.... I agree! Welcome to msfn, read the rules, enjoy your stay, bla bla bla...
  16. Interesting and true... @reff67 Have you downloaded it or started the download? What is the name of the file you are (were) downloading?
  17. It shows 3.0... 1. No changes made in bios before installing Vista, XP shows 2 CPU's with the correct frequencies. 2. 3. Bull**** 4. Same as above. 5. No BIOS update made between taking out XP and installation of Vista. I'd say it's a bug in Vista, what do you guys say?
  18. Go Start ---> All Programs ---> Accessories ---> Entertainment ---> Media Center. Once you hit the green button, you will be presented with the setup. Hope this is what you were after.
  19. Well, for the time being it ain't available at all, as the link given takes you to RC1. So... let's wait a little bit longer
  20. You're welcome. Glad you fixed it and it works as a standard PS/2 mouse.
  21. It is. Put a shortcut in the startup folder.
  22. If its meant to be a USB mouse, then leave it that way. If it isn't covered by warranty any longer, carefully remove all the screws, make a note of how the wires inside the cable are soldered to the board, then cut the cable ~2 cm away from the faulty point and solder back the wires to the board of the mouse. Cheers and good luck!
  23. Had the same problem a while ago, but the monitor turned red. Some cable inside the monitor came off. Might try checking that, but unplug it off mains and leave it for a good couple of hours before dismantling it.
