Ermmm... If we are talking about a media keyboard, Windows might not have the right drivers to map the media keys on the keyboard.

I second what the others have said: NTFS is much better with XP. I personally haven't used FAT32 since Win98, and that was ages ago, before Win2k came on the market.

Thanks for your replies guys but: CPU ain't overheating, audio drivers worked perfectly (i.e. no restarts) until a little while ago and the bit that confuses me is that the BSOD says the problem lies with MEMORY_MANAGEMENT! The problem appeared suddenly, no programs or hardware added before problem started. Anyway, I'll get a 512Mb of RAM and shove it in to see if the problem persists. Regards, nitro

Right click on the taskbar and take the mark off "Lock the taskbar" then resize the Quicklaunch toolbar (enlarge the space it uses) and drag the shortcut on the free space. Does it work now?

Hi guys! I'm having an odd problem with one of my PC's. It sometimes restarts by itself, especially when playing music in Winamp and using its video interface to render visualisations. I have made a complete memroy dump but it's too large to post here (511 Mb). However, when it comes to the BSOD, it says MEMORY_MANAGEMENT. Is it caused by faulty RAM? I ran memtest on both modules of RAM (it has 2x256Mb RAM in single channel @ 400 MHz) and no errors were found. Please anyone help. Thanks. nitro PS. If you click (or rclick, can't remember right now) on the yellow-ish band that appears under the menu toolbar in IE, you will be presented with a small menu where you can choose to download the file. It's some sort of protection against malicious downloads.

RC1 is faster than RC2 on loading stuff, less pagefile activity, games actually work (on RC2 they don't, or at least not the games I'm playing). As for the bugs fixed in RC2, please give some example, don't just take for granted what M$ says. Are you actually testing it extensively or just playing around with it?
